Those are all great, but nothing touches enter sandman for Mariano. It was absolutely perfect for him given his nickname and the fact that the greatest closer ironically walked out to the perfect song to open a concert with (especially in the early 90’s when the album released) while his demeanor was always the total opposite of the energy of the track.

The whammy bar effect at 8 seconds

The drums kicking in at 16 seconds

The distortion on lead and rhythm guitar kicking in at 24 seconds mixed with the cymbal crashes at 24 & 30 seconds

The gradual build of tension until the 55 second mark when the main riff finally hits as Rivera would reach the mound

It wouldn't work everywhere. New York is a fine place for it. I can't imagine seeing that entrance in Kansas City.
