Very happy they solved their differences. Jay knows his career would much different without Jaz-O putting him on records. In Hov's Defense, he let Jaz-O Produce and feature on his 1st 3 LP's and "The Street's is Watching" Soundtrack. I mean Jaz-O produced "Ain't No N!gga", "In My Lifetime (Remix), "Rap Game/Crack Game". He was featured on "Bring It On" and "N!gga What, N!gga Who". So again, it's good they solved their issues.

Idk why people say this. Jay went back to the streets after jaz deal fell thru. Jay had to get it out the mud and go back to the streets after and him and jaz went separate ways. Didn’t have a relationship for years, once he got on for himself he came back and got jaz, the favor was returned right there, even to a bigger level being that jay was one of the bigger rappers at the time.

some wild hate in here for no reason lol

jaz is the definition of pride is a motherfukker

jay offered him a 500K deal in 95/96

and he turned it down

so half a mil deal in the mid 90's

then look at what roc a fella did from 95/96 to say 2001

you know the kinda money jaz in directly turned down off that initial deal decline? lol

people talk about "oh all those that signed a deal with jay aint with him no more"

and??

jay suppose to carry dudes their entire life?

plus make no mistake everyone got rich when they fukked with jay

now what they did with their money well thats on them

id just like to know where all those "dame is the real business man not jay" people vanished to from a few years back

lol

talk about being wrong

but anyway

if they made up its a positive thing PERIOD

as for hitting him off with money goes thats a bit much

plus thats not how jay operates

look at his circle

bleek

dusse rep

emory

running some rocnation stuff

etc...

bleek once said

" i can give you a million dollars today and you could be broke tomorrow but i could give you opportunity today and you could be rich tomorrow"

jaz had that op

he chose otherwise

That's what I'm thinking, Jay fell out of love with rap after his stint with Jaz.
Jaz was the first to show him the rap game, Jaz tried to put him on but failed to put Jay and himself on. Jay isn't counted as an 80s rapper, nor early 90s rapper.

The people that put on the Jay that we know were Clark Kent and Kane etc. His sound, "swag" and on had nothing at all to do with Jaz. The thing Jaz had to do with Jay was teaching not to get fukked by corporates by experience.

Think that Steve Stoute Drink Champs interview made him think...

Stoute: "If someone puts you on, You should be forever be grateful"

Or something along that line
