You need to give up cause you not even making sense, Beyoncé has 3 #1's and 8 top 10 hits on her first two albums and only one of those 8 songs were produced by Harrison. You need to change you're argument cause this one ain't working for you. Irreplaceable was the biggest song out of all of them, are you going to tell me that was amerie sound.
Neither did Get Me Bodied or Upgrade You:heh:

That nose:stopitslime: Amerie’s is easily better plus Amerie’s legs:ohlawd:

1.You don't like African features, huh?
:mjpls:

2. The irony of pointing out Jhene's nose...when Amerie is the one who had a nose job. At least Jhene is proud of her African features.

I’m not even a fan of Beyoncé but Amerie wasn’t sabotaged.

This "sabotaged music artist" claim is unique to the Twitter cell phone and internet generation of complaint.

Virtually anybody who rifles through their mother's or grandmother's remaining vinyl record collection might notice that they own music by Aretha Franklin AND Patti LaBelle AND Diana Ross AND Gladys Knight & the Pips AND Anita Baker AND Whitney Houston AND Patrice Rushen AND Donna Summer AND Stephanie Mills AND Roberta Flack AND Dianne Reeves.

The new notion of being "forced by the industry" to appreciate or choose one artist to the exclusion of another
is baffling.

It's like saying I can't go get a Whopper at Burger King because I've seen too much advertising by McDonald's.

@Nemesis

Since you feel like the Beyoncé conspiracy doesn’t hold weight, who do you think Ameriie was getting at here?

Fam .... the same way Nicki Minaj seems to feel that Cardi B or whomever is behind her failing popularity is the same way 90% of these RnB chicks dont want to admit that they were the cause of their fall off ..... its always someone elses fault

I keep it real with you because im straight honest , Beyonce has only done two solo records I like, that me myself and I joint and love on the top , other than that her music is too pop for my taste..... i much prefer Ameries music

but the difference between me and a lot of halfwits posting is that I can suspend my personal bias to post an honest opinion

There were 1 million and one chicks making music like Amerie , whether it was Mya, Ashanti or whoever , she was one of many RnB chicks putting out good music and to be honest she got lost in the crowd, going plat was damn near the norm and she couldnt even do that

Taylor Swift damn near sending shots to every artist even in her radar yet these fools be looking at Beyonce under a microscope...

i might not like her music, but she came through and crushed the buildings , shes talented and she works hard, its that simple

Ameries and beyonces music sound nothing alike.... If you were talking Ciara and Janet or R kells and Aaron then you are on to something....

until someone comes with a single receipt of how Beyonce went in and told the record company not to fukk with Amerie or any other disgruntled RnB singer that didnt make it all that shyt is for the birds

They're creating their own arguments in their head. The moment Beyoncé released her solo debut dangerously in love, she was a bigger solo artist than Ashanti.

For all intents and purposes, Beyonce had been a implied solo act since Destiny's Child debuted in 1997.

She was compared to being a "Diana Ross-breakout-from-The Supremes-like" artist from Day One. That strategy was cultivated by her father, her label Columbia Records, and most music biz observers at that time with eyes and ears.

By 1999, she's the lead singer of a group that's already sold ten million albums. And she's only 18 by that time.

Ashanti had a great run too beginning in 2002, but Beyonce is already firmly established as a huge star by the
time Ashanti launches.

This is all true, I don't like using destinys child because it makes these back and forths not fun.

In reality, before Ashanti ever dropped Beyoncé was already a multiple Grammy winning, multiple number 1 smash hits, responsible for over 20 million records sold artist, who also was the Co-star of a blockbuster smash that made $300 million at the box office. At no point in her career was Ashanti ever bigger than Beyoncé.

But I leave that out so these back and forths can be entertaining

It is also fair to question why Amerie signed with Columbia Records when they already had Destiny's Child/Beyonce/Kelly, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Shakira, Lauryn Hill and Xscape?

There was always a chance for her to get lost in the mix at Columbia, just as she also had the opportunity
to take advantage of their huge label influence at radio stations, MTV/BET and music stores to break Why Don't We Fall In Love..

Early in her career, Alicia Keys saw she needed a new home away from Columbia Records, and left to go with Clive Davis and Arista.

brehs name droppin Aaliyah/Timbaland and Kelis/Neptunes like Timbaland and the Neptunes wasn't also workin with other female singers at the same damn time...Rich prolly made them tracks for Amerie, but the label decided to give them to a bigger artist...that shyt happens all the time, it's not sabotage, it's business...

y'all always try to paint Beyonce as some bitter queen who just kills her competitions careers off because she wants to while ignoring the fact that plenty of females like Ashanti, Ciara, GaGa, Rihanna, ect done came into the game on her watch and flourished...people like Amerie and Keri simply weren't gonna stick around for long regardless...
