We gave dude the playbook and he’s plotting cheat days because he doesn’t can’t maintain on salad and needs a leptin reset every 6 days :comeon:
the first month or two of dieting is the worst because people really do get attached to the carbed up feeling

snack food is like the devil

To hell with what yall talking about. Nothing is wrong with a drink once in a while like once or twice a month and tequila which I usually drink has no carbs lol.

Let yall tell it I'm an alcoholic which isn't the case.

Side note: I know myself and I've literally been eating only one meal a day. If I'm going to stick to this I'll have to switch it up and eat some foods I like, at least one meal a week on one day. Anything else and I'll go back to eating how I was and stop the diet.

However if I want real results I'll have to at least have a cheat day for now till I get accustom kinda as a reward for my work.

Yall nikkas been at this for years but at my worse I'd eat a whole cake by myself, eat two or three meals from fast food spots in one sitting, non sense like that. I wasn't eating no where near regular portions lol. I'm trying to do better yall, understand that.

That's not true, I've done my research and cheat days actually help the metabolism and I'm not gonna over do it. Maybe one of them I'll eat what I want for dinner and the other I'll opt for a healthy dinner but I'll break the intermittent fasting on the weekend and eat three square meals. Again not over doing it except for one meal I'll have at dinner time during one of the days. For the other meals not gonna consume many carbs, barely eat anything with sugar and cut out sweet drinks completely.

Alcohol really should be a complete no if you are trying to lose a lot of weight even if it's just one day.

Even with tequila and it's lower carb count, Alcohol in general kills your gut health for a day or two and just all around makes your fat loss journey harder.

Also, how do you eat the day after drinking? Do you find yourself eating the worst foods?

So. Cal
Hey brehs,
I can really use some advice.

I'm 6'1 about 291 pounds and was told by my doctor I'm at risk for being prediabetic if I don't lose some weight.

With that said I need some tips. I'm someone who has a major sweet tooth and I stress eat with fast food almost daily but I want to change that and need to do so fast.

What would be a good diet plan to stick to? I also plan to try to go to the gym at least 4 times a week and focus on cardio.
I have a sweet tooth as well. One of the best life hacks i learned was by eating a cup of frozen mixed fruit. Trust, not only will it satisfy your sweet tooth but u wont crave what ever nasty shyt u wanted to get and u only consuming 70 calories per cup

Here's what I personally did, and honestly, it was a bit of a blessing.

I first started making my own meal prep of chopped pan cooked chicken breasts/thighs with rice and broccoli after watching a few videos on Youtube. Once I had those coming in steady, going out to eat started happening less and less. I might eat out once or twice a month now. After a friend put me on Bulgogi, I started using sauces to make the dish taste even better, though I had to cut some of the sauces out because they had High Fructose Corn Syrup in them. Speaking of HFCS, I stopped drinking Sodas, cold turkey. I only drink water, Bubly and Pure Sparkle (from Dollar Tree). When you cut that HFCS out, you're gonna notice a difference.

Some time after that, my homie from TN came through after a breakup with his ex gf. He was a gym rat, so we started working out at the rec center gym RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY HOUSE (that's how much of a bum I was), and I started doing strength training AND cardio there. That's the other part about what you said. You can't just do cardio because if you think you got a sweet tooth now, you haven't seen anything until after your body betrays you and has you start eating even more shyt after you do cardio only.

You got to mix both in there, otherwise your snacking is gonna skyrocket. Another thing he put me on was Smoothie King. Them joints will help curb your appetite and you can get a good dose of vegetables and fruits in them jokers.

I workout 4-5 times a week. I work on Shoulders/Chest/Triceps on Monday, Back and Biceps on Tuesday, Leg Day on Thursday, and Dropsets of everything on Friday/Saturday. I also do about 10 minutes of cardio on an elliptical on those days, as well as Planks before I head to the gym.

It's not easy and you WILL backslide, but if you keep it up, you'll drop the weight and start to feel better both physically and mentally.

Good luck, breh.

I’ll read through the thread after, but I’m on the same journey as you. I was 301 awhile ago and I’m now at 277. It’s all diet and working out..find someone to go to the gym with you or just jog everyday and at home workouts. Try fasting it’s easier for me cause I work nights, but 12/16 is cool. Hardest part for me is drinking all that damn water lol but try for a gallon you should be going through a case of water pretty quick. And no damn sweets if you want soda drink a sparkling water.

@Guvnor if you're looking for a meal you can eat in place of anything, get you some egg whites and put some red/yellow/green bell peppers in it, throw a lil shredded cheese in, and then put in some turkey sausage. shyt is :ohlawd:

I usually have this for breakfast and sometimes I'll have it for dinner, it usually about 200-300 calories.

EDIT: If you have some spinach, throw that in there to, makes more filling and adds more greens to the meal as well.

It all starts with mindset. He is playing because he isn't there mentally yet.

The doc shook him a bit so he made this thread but a reality check is only temporary.

To transform your body, you transform your mind first.

If you love rice but want a substitute, try cauliflower rice. Taste like the real thing and has a third of the calories.

The main thing when dieting and hardest is trying to find substitutes for staples you enjoy, it took me a while to figure out what I can sub in and out.
