Do not listen to these nikkas telling you to start a blog. Personal blogs are dead as Hell. :mjlol:

Send some sample work to these alt-left sites like Vice, Huffington Post, Pitchfork etc.
Yeah blogging for money is not the move unless you got 2-3 years to spare to write for FREE while building an audience.

  1. Learn sales.
  2. Learn copywriting.
  3. Create product.
  4. Sell it.

Or sell other people's products. Write your book or blog as a hobby on the side.

Upwork is wack for the majority of people. It's blood sucking and you'll begin to hate writing for $8/hour. Trust me.

If you do write a book, create your own site and keep all the loot. Amazon is cool but selling your own books and keeping all the profit (besides PayPal fees) makes more cents.

Does this mufukka have writing talent to begin with? Have some people who are not inclined to like your material read that shyt. About the only thing i could speak on would be writing a novel yet i would not self-publish unless i planned on churning out constantly decent-enough content to make money. Do you have any serious material that is not some shyt for jokes on thecoli?

It's basically DIY magazine. To put it simply, it's maybe 10-20 pages filled with your stories, essays, quotes, etc. and mixed in are obscure/random images related to the text. Think tumblr in the physical.

All you need is a printer and imagination. I wish I had a full zine to refer you to but this site sells a lot of great ones - Printed Matter | Books - Arkitip

Soooooooo a lot of good input has already been said. Blogging isn't the way to go unless there are hot topics that will bring in traffic. Think of it like a gossip blog or even something to do with sports and/or hip hop. One thing that could really make the coli blow up is if they had a blog section that highlighted the oohs and ahs of sports and such. Kinda reminiscent of how the front page used to look except they were threads, not articles.

Those things, if successful, could make you successful on a mainstream scale. People will want to read your input about certain topics because at that point you have built value for not only your writing but yourself.

I say this because it can happen, I seen it happen to a crappy kpop blog and soon enough they started getting attention from the people they were writing about. Now it's one of the biggest most professional kpop blogs around.

You should link up with @Brooklynzson to see about that
