I got one of these for my kids as an Xmas gift and it was working perfectly fine until they started playing games on it. Go into the settings and reset the stick. I think its bad with reallocating memory. First streamer I've ever got that lags and I've got a shytload too.

Thought it was just me, I bought one cause yall said I can load kodi onto it, and you can but that shyt is not good at streaming anything
Dude do not listen to these people. I sell fire sticks daily. You need that settings add on and change the ram settings to alleviate the excessive stuttering

It's not just Kodi that's messing up. It's all streaming services
Change cache settings
Fix your network (bufferbloat if you got other shyt going on)
Download more rice
What do I change the cache settings to?

Why would it be the connection or interference if nothing else has this problem? On the fire stick everything stutters...kodi, Netflix, amazon, etc. Only on the firestick, kodi & everything else plays fine on my other devices.

I had a problem with mine stuttering as well, for awhile I could play 1080 movies off my pc then not even sd videos on youtube

every device in the house over wifi was fine except the Stick, went in to the settings and the signal under network was listed as fair, changed the wifi channel on my router and it fixed the problem

(there's 3 screenshots taken from random pages in case one doesnt show)

wifi channel would be on your router's settings

usually in http://192.168.1.1/

Mine says very good as well
Quick question about the router tho
I can connect to 2 different things on my router
Is there a difference
There's the name I use
Ex. My WiFi
And there's the other name
Ex. My Wifi 5G

I'm sure there's a difference and a point to it but which is the better one to use

I feel like I should know these things being that I work with cabling
