How Can The Last of Us: Remastered Not Get a Perfect 10

It doesn't hold as much weight the second time around. It'll probably get the same scores the original got.

For those that haven't played the game and are getting it on the PS4, Remastered might as well be their GOTY. They're playing a superior version of the game, with all the DLC just for $50. Last gen brehs probably spent up to $80 to get everything.

its still the same game though, why would it need a separate review? other than stating the extras, theres not really much a new review can say that hasn't already been said. i could understand if the game was 5 or more years old, but this shyt just came out last year.

I didn't say the game should be reviewed again tho, just pointing that the folks that didn't get to play last year might see the Remastered version as GOTY.

Yea your right I really doubt it's gonna get all those awards again this time arround too because of this reason. Glad it's my first time playing. Btw how long did SP take to run through?

yeah of course. i mean it is a great game no matter what year you pick it up. i just normally associate GOTY with the year it actually debuted. and although technically the "remastered" version is coming out this year and will be the definitive version, its still in my eyes an updated re-release.

as far as it being re-reviewed, i was just bringing it back to the OP.

If this is the first time playing it those people are in for a treat. I didn't have any major issues with the PS3 version. This one looks better and runs at 60FPS but it's still the same exact game we already played. Could this even be considered a remake? It's more like a year late port. I don't believe there's any new content in the game. It'll likely be like then the PS4 Tomb Raider got reviewed and many places used the same review but added a lil to it for the extra stuff.

I don't recall seeing such universal hype and praise about a videgame. The closest may be the critic and player response to GTA San Andreas. Really looking forward to seeing if the hype for this game is warranted or if it's just being parroted because you're supposed to like it because everyone else supposedly did.

I finally played it about a month or two ago. At first I thought it was a case of the game being overhyped and not seeing why people were praising it so much. But the more I played it the more I got hooked and finally came around to praising it the same as everyone else. Just an amazing game all around.

I don't think any outlets should review the remastered edition, and here is why.

1. Resolution doesn't affect gameplay
2. Framerate is a gameplay element but no one would have batted an eye if was still at 30fps.
3. A.I. they didn't improve upon the A.I., this is where I think the tireless effort should have been the focus.

What I think the Outlets should review is the DLC that has been added.

Never saw the point in reviewing remakes or games that transfer to next gen. Especially if it got a 10 prior to switching consoles. It's still the same game, with the dlc you bought last gen....but a bit prettier and smoother. Same shyt with the GTA 5 remake....pointless shyt. You already know the game is good...the critics already know it's good...just seems weird to me and a waste of time.

I do think the game shouldn't be reviewed again, but it will because mufukkaz want website hits.

It's not going to be judged on its own and the trolls/flamebaiters/clickbaiter review sites are still gonna do what they do.
