I dunno. How you think Babe Ruth would do playing 2 guard in the D-League?

:heh:

Because baseball is more of a skill sport. You need years of play to develop the skill, otherwise it doesn't matter how fast you can run or how high you can jump or your coordination or whatever. You need that specific skill.

It's all apples to oranges...very few people are gifted enough to be VERY GOOD at the highest level of more than one sport (shout out to Bo and Deon).

This thread just tells me that Jimmy Grahm, Julius Thomas, Antonio Gates ,Ect. Maybe shoulda focused on football earlier since they were good but never really the cream of the crop( NBA potential wise) in basketball.

A lot a football players play baseball too and eventually they have to choose.

Some wash out of football and give baseball a try and some wash out of baseball and give football a try. Jamie's Winston is gonna have to make his decision soon.

Of course Im using "failure" as a tongue and cheek description...But if the goal was to make it to the NBA they fell short...

No need to salute me.. I wasn't a scholarship player.. I walked on, only dressed for home games and scored a total of 7 career points....But I did get to practice everyday with the GOAT Lefty Driesell for a year...

:salute:

But yes basketball players are the goat athletes
