anyone stop and realize the motor skills, in coordination w/ the respective cognitive abilities and conditioning, required to dribble a basketball, score, and make split second decisions against elite level athletes? The mental and physical aptitude necessary to excel in b-ball is extraordinary. This isnt emphasized of course, because basketball is dominated by coloreds, so b-ball is positioned as bunch of mindless jungle bunnies who were born with the basketball gene....if whites were dominating the NBA, you would hear about how difficult it is to play basketball endlessly.

:patrice: JR Smith, Michael Beasley, Nick Young, and Ricky Davis would like to talk with you

I know the feeling bro. I was on the 2002 team that lost to fukkin Bowie in the State Championship :snoop: And I was still JV when they actually won the thing in 2000 :flabbynsick:

Not gonna put his name on herebut I was on the 2001 team with the older brother of the main kid in the scandal who ended up snitching on Rick for doing the same thing he did when he was playing :mindblown:

Rick was terrible play caller but he had a great eye for talent :mjpls:

One of my best friends is the youngest brother, well he's not related to them by blood, I think the oldest brother used to date his sister or something. My senior year we lost to Bowie on Homecoming :aicmon:, funny thing is one of the DBs who was getting torched that day now starts for Cincinnati. caught this pick at 3:15 against UCONN two weeks ago.

The offenses we ran used to piss me off man. Wing-T on JV (idk what Rick was running on Varsity) and Triple Option when I was on varsity (not w/ Rick). My stepbrothers younger brother now plays for Rick at Carroll, I think he was teammates with the youngest Hayden but I think he left now. IT's funny how small and interconnected this high school football shyt can get.

I played football all my life up through highschool. I played with a few 2 sport stars in highschool and knew alot from our league. I know alot that did well and beasted in college football, but couldn't sniff the B-Ball court on a college level. Also alot of us football nikkas wished we was good enough to ball:manny:

Which goes to my point its an elite class of athletes...

There are 50 scholarship spots at a D1 football program and like 13 for basketball. The NFL draft is 7 rounds and NBA is 2.. Its just a more select group of superior athletes...

Football is a cool back up plan if you're not the cream of the crop..

:ld:
I was saying that to the other dude how 1 person could make more of a difference in a group of 5 rather than 22 (I'm counting defense)

But hell no most of these basketball players wouldn't last in the nfl, they always cry for fouls or try to get fouls, most penalties don't even get called or are poorly decided

Only a handful of big nba players would do alright and I mean big dudes like zach Randolph could be an ok OT, but then his old knees would probably crack to dust

Props on the video. Love seeing PG athletes balling on the next level...

And yeah we were running that same old Wing-T with 3 running backs back then too. We didn't have the quality QBs like the recent squads that you probably played on.

If basketball players are the most superior athletes and could succeed at any sport:

Why did the GOAT basketball player ride the pine in the baseball MINORS?

And most of you geniuses try and say baseball players aren't athletes :stopitslime:

I dunno. How you think Babe Ruth would do playing 2 guard in the D-League?

:heh:

Because baseball is more of a skill sport. You need years of play to develop the skill, otherwise it doesn't matter how fast you can run or how high you can jump or your coordination or whatever. You need that specific skill.

Football is a start and stop sport so the whole mentality is different from basketball. The difference is athleticism is more coordination than anything.

Basketball at a high level is mentally taxing. There's really no break between timeouts and fouls and you have to stay in tune with the game that entire time to be elite. That was my biggest issue with the game when I played.

This is an interesting point..there's a laundry list of players that "failed" in minor league baseball and ended up starring in the nfl - John Elway, Russell Wilson, and Ricky Williams to name a few and of course Jameis Winston who is a heisman candidate for FSU but only an OK baseball player

Basketball players=GOAT athletes on the planet..
That's a RIDICULOUS conclusion...:lolbron:
(1) Because of the height requirement...MOST people on this planet are at a genetic disadvantage to play basketball...So, only a select few can actually compete in basketball...

You don't need to be a GREAT athlete to be in the NBA...You need height, average athletic ability (but with the willingness to make it) and the opportunity....

(2) Basketball is a SPECIALITY sport...Basically, the average human being has a VERY SMALL chance to even sniff the NBA, and it's not because of athletic ability, it's simple because they don't have the genetics...

That's why it's really impressive to see guys like Nate Robinson and Mugsy Bogues in the NBA...That's an ANOMALY...It's not suppose to happen...

So, those guys' athletic ability is RIDICULOUS, to be average height and compete with giants at the highest level...

(3) You can't say that it's much harder for a 6'6" american to make it in the NBA than it is for 5'10" american to make it in the NFL...

I think making it to the NFL is WAY harder, because you are in competition with the entire country, while basketballers are only in competition with a select few who meet the genetic requirements...
