How can you be from the hood and root for a "culture vulture" to end Meek Mill's career?

because most posters here arent from the hood.

and out of the ones that are, half of em stayed in the house.

whats with all these meek/drake threads on the front page tho?

Rakim and Nas stayed in the house when they growing up. They did minor dirt, but they focused on rhymes than anything else. :manny: doing dirt and being "out there" ain't hip Hop. Chuck D explains this better in an interview he did years ago.

But Meek should have dropped this months ago. Even Nas didn't take 7 months to make Ether. From this point forward, he needs to stop making excuses and go forward against Drake.

Rap music hasn't been real for decades now. The average so called rap fan only listens to what they are instructed to listen, whatever is deemed popular by the non-Blacks that run and control our culture that's why people make a big deal about someone being "relevant" rather than making good music. I'm not surprised that people would support Drake over Meek because he's the industry's golden boy, but once you support frauds like Rick Ross(who's music is garbage) as well as other fake rappers you can't become upset when "culture vultures" come in because you've basically set the precedent.

The biggest sin the streets done outside of supporting simp-like strip club tracks, is getting rid of Black Power MCs and made a smear campaign against them, calling them "boring" for not giving in to gangsta rap back in the early 90s. The Pro black MCs were the real gatekeepers of Hip Hop.

How does @Wild self manage to turn every thread into his personal campaign against "real nikkas" and hip hop's supposed poisoning of the black mind and being the main factor in black people's condition? How does he continue to do this shyt in every thread despite evidence and not get banned from threads? At some point phonzi and wild self need to have a personal grievance thread where all their shyt is sent.

As for being from the hood @houston911, most of these cats have not been anywhere near struggle or the inner city. They're like a step removed from the typical suburban white kid but authenticity in the black community has always been defined by how you relate to those at the bottom and in the struggle (any african-american history professor will teach you that, whether you agree or not) so they try to be "down." In real life they wouldn't ever talk to someone like Meek. Drake IS who they relate to more, he's what they've been doing their entire lives. All that pro-black shyt they do on here is fraudulent and just respectability politics light. People need to recognize that the internet is nothing like what's actually happening in the world. NOTHING like it.

Where on earth do people hate on any of these hip hop titans? Nowhere. Whenever I'm making critiques I am strictly talking about these internet nikkas.

Who are these "Black Power MC's" you're referring to? And please don't say J. Cole.

Public Enemy, De LA Soul, and them old school groups. The ones that openly supported black institutions and never held their tongue. It was a smear campaign to make them irrelevant in the streets, and it sadly worked. @The HONORABLE SKJ can break it down further.

But Meek could have done this month's ago and avoided the backlash from some of his fans.

Words of a weirdo follower. Let me guess, you were raised primarily by a woman in a house full of women and you got all the shoes you wanted as a kid...and you only hung out with other mama's boys, right? Lil fakkit

Wait.

Are you seriously suggesting meek is "pro-blackness" personified?

Son, damn...at least Wale, J Cole, or Kendrick exist if we're talking guys who avoid glorifying fukkery here.

And you're defending Meek? Meek won't even raise his kids in places they'd be liable to bump their heads, much less anything remotely as fukked up as he experienced as a youth.

What are you saying right now?

Grime ain't gangster.

I mean hell, Ross' own Mixtape was more "pro back and progressive" than his own album for PURELY caplialistic reasons....and we're claiming Meek ain't a culture vulture?

Damn, is it oochie wally or one mic?

Is Ross not a culture vulture?

Drake came in the game bearing his soul claiming to be only who he was.

Meek comes in the game rapping about the most stereotypical shyt ever that would make the Fox News editorial panel giggle with glee about the amount of ignorant content that sustains their viewership's own fears and we're talking bout being a real nikka?

What the fukk is going on right now?
