I mean I like Nas don't get it twisted but IMO... just IMO... Jay has a more diverse catalog & better beat selection. Jay has a song for every mood & circumstance... I don't get that with Nas...

He's been too criticized over the years to get the overall top spot and sometimes its justifiable (Although I think his singles while often critized are actually the most underrated and dope part of his catalogue).
But I think he's done enough and his discography isnt as mediocre as some critics would lead you believe, so I think he deserves to be top 5.

Jay was heavy on his swag shyt on that but Nas has plenty of Bragadocious tracks. I will say Jay has the commercial lane better but its not because Nas couldn't he didn't want the limelight.
