Some y'all are not looking at the bigger picture. NCAA >>>> CFL/NBDL. Yeah they're not getting paid right now, but they're getting a free education. What happens if they sustain a career ending injury, at least they have some thing to fall back on, or have the credits to go back and finish. Straight to CFL/NBDL, you make 30k for a year then get injured, what are they gonna do then ? Work at McDonalds :flabbynsick:

Champions league
Cfl is not that easy number 1.

Ask Ricky Williams

The field is much bigger its a passing game, the game is faster than the NFL because the players are smaller and lighter.

Plus their is a salary cap the highest paid player I think is Anthony cavillo at just under 500k

:dwillhuh: if Andrew Wiggins and Jadaveon Clowney was in the DLeague/CFL trust dem nikkas would be on TV

Im saying though. The whole they're not on tv is a mute point. The Dleague and CFL isnt on TV b/c there arent any stars that ppl want to watch, you put these highly touted recruits on their, its gonna force ppl to watch.

The D-League IS on TV. The reason it doesn't get watched is because the games, players, and results are inconsequential to the fan in every single way.

Putting highly touted recruits that you can't call up won't change that.

because they don't want to play in the d-league or another country.

Its not even that serious in basketball. You'll be rich at 19 instead of 18. That one year in college is really not hurting you.

But yall are right the exposure of NCAA>>>>> they're living for free. They dont have to pay for ANYTHING (housing, food, clothes cause all they wear is athletic shyt anyways). While that little cheese they get in the dleague cfl/ they still gotta put it back into living and housing expenses (unless the team foots this bill idk)

i think it would create a whole new lane. BJennings tried to do it but i think he aint do it right.

Explain this, because if anything, going overseas and making six figures >>>> toiling away in D-League, which is why players would rather just play overseas. Where Jennings messed up is that he overestimated how much those leagues are willing to take time out to develop his skills as a youngin (that and he wasn't that good). In Europe, if you can't help them win now, you won't play.

college football is the second or third most popular sport in the country. no matter how many cfl games are being shown on tv, it's not going to compare to the exposure a player will get playing at a top college.

and anything before the nfl is all about getting your draft stock as high as possible. you want those dudes on espn talking about you every saturday.. you wanna be in the heisman discussion. no one gives a fukk about the cfl mvp. you want exposure.

for the top recruits.. the millions are waiting. it's just about how many millions. cfl salary is chump change compared to what these guys are after.

for the middle of the pack guys.. you need that media exposure to get discovered. you need the nfl scouts watching all of your games.

for the bottom of the barrel.. just get that college education and be out. maybe you take a chance at the cfl afterwards.

nike isn't going to throw the bank at a guy playing a predominantly american sport in another country. nothing will compare to what they're going to get if they're successful in college.

plus, they're 18 years old. there's not many places where you're gonna have more fun than on a college campus. and if you're a star athlete? :whew:

i don't know about the d-league though. i'd guess it's for similar reasons. no one watches that shyt and the benefits of beasting in college >>> beasting in the d-league.
