They were a success the same way the '04 pistons were, met up with a weak Laker team and hit a lick and proceeded to do nothing else from then on. Didn't hurt than Leon Powe lived at the free throw line and James Posey was beatin Kobe up on the perimeter on some Above the Rim shyt. fukk the celtics, that should've been another Lakers 3peat if Bynum and Ariza aren't injured.

Good thing is we won't be dealing with the celtics in the finals again until at least 2032.

I love how in threads about the 08 Celtics, Laker fans cry about how they needed Bynum to win but in Kobe threads they say Kobe won by himself and talk about Bynum as if he was an insignificant role player.

And the Big 3 were all in their early 30's when they got together so they weren't far removed from their prime at all.

Cant call them a failure. They won a title and has some bad breaks to keep them from having more. In 2009 KG got hurt then in 2010 Perk got hurt. And in 2012 they were very close to getting to the Finals and probably would have beaten OKC. And like Doc said straight up there starting lineup of Rondo Allen Perk KG and Pierce never lost a series together. Someone was always hurt or traded.

We won the title the first year the Big 3 were here. Even Miami can't say that and they had a better 3. Lakers got their asses whooped and we made Kobe look like a hoe in Game 7. We lost 09 cuz of no KG and 10 because Perk was gone. Once Perk left the chemistry of the team disappeared and it was all downhill from there
