You have 0 faith in people that went to school for and trained to teach kids?

Interesting:skip:

And oh yeah, you can't while me your kids from life

Sad to say but yeah. I mean dont get me wrong there are a few idealists that actually give a damn but the majority that Ive seen are just passing these kids along and getting a check.

Just this past summer we had to let go an intern kid just graduated on his way to playball sumwhere. He wasnt getting his work done and kept asking for folks to tell him wha to do. I'm like it was detailed in the email I dont get wha more explaination was needed. Well therin was the problem kid couldnt read. Im like how in the phuck can this kid make it thru school to graduation to college and he cant read??? Thats a systematic failure on so many levels.
Plus as i said my lady teaches the shyt that principlals pull just to keep their funding. She once showed me this email talking bout teachers need to give make up work and base grades upon the make up not the years work. :wtf:

lol you can play sports and be homeschooled

i think going to school creates MORE socially inept people
look at all these sheeps walkin around blindly following society's standards

just because you homeschool your kids doesnt mean they have to strictly be at home

you can travel with them. introduce them to different people, museum, etc......

I think most don't homeschool because they don't have the time, patience, or skillset to. Do I think it's difficult- no, but I think it can be a bit much to do for the average parent now a days.

And most kids are raised by single parents, and what single parent you know who holds everything down has time to homeschool their children?

I personally would like to homeschool my kids if the opportunity presents itself. The school system is of course a joke, and I would be more comfortable controlling their learning environment and the things learned. However, I do think public/private school is still great. But now a days, you need that and more to produce a well rounded intelligent child.

Now, there are programs and stuff for homeschooled kids to strengthen their social skills. There are sports teams, clubs, and everything. Most of this stuff might be regional, but it's defintely out there.

This sounds the like most depressed life ever.

No one wants to grow up spending that much time around your parents.

What do you mean by sheep? And what makes you think schools created it?

I agree with this. The so called sheep mentality transcends school, its more about society as a whole than just school.

I guess u see it more in lets say, a high school cause young people are more impressionable but its bigger than just school.

because they want their kids out of the house

see thats what im talkin about
all these people walking around claim to be allf or they kids but never try to break the mold or give they kids a chance

example: how long people been sayin McDonalds aint good for us
GROWN ASS MEN AND WOMEN KNOW THIS but soon as they child born they stuffing that trash into they mouth.

people crying how kids expensive this and kids expensive that
always finding excuses to put they own selfish desires on the child

its not fair to do that but then when they turn 18 they gotta get the fukk out
or you aint saved no money for college but you been screamin about money for 18 years...good point my nikka

ofcourse not but as far as education it should be essential
most parents dont even know they kids teachers names

well in school if you not goin with the flow you are usually punished
even the daydreamers...usually artsy types are ahving a hard time nowadays

school imo teaches you about dealing with shyt you dont wanna deal with
thats important in life imo but not important enough

teachers nowadays dont even care about your children they just need to meet a certain quota of kids passed otherwise they lose they job

I don't think tht parents should homeschool their kids. Kids need the social interaction in a school to develop interpersonal relationships.

I agree. You have the opportunity create a more independent thinking, culturally aware child.

yea but honestly you prolly learned more about people outside of school

school just helps you deal with people it dont neccessarily develop actual relationships

it always exceptions my nikka but im just sayin

and if anything sports and after school programs develop more relationships/friendships than actual school becuase atleast there is a general common interest

what u think?

If i had children id home school them up until about 5th grade, then send them to prep school until 11th grade, thing I would unleash them onto public school where they graduate at the top of their class because their peers wont have the same advantages :jawalrus:

I wouldn't home school my kids because I am personally not qualified to challenge them across a broad spectrum of topics and keep their interest. By no means am I saying I am not capable, but I know my limits.

I am going to make sure my kid goes to a good school and receives a challenge, but I can't imagine a home schooled child having a well rounded education. I say this because all of their interaction will primarily be with 1 teacher/leader.

because your not teaching your kid just one subject. Its history, math, science, social studies, gym, english. i know some cities school districts have bad reputations, but not all of them too. there are plenty of teachers who put their all into teaching these kids. and for a parent to actually think they could just teach their child. when they havent put in the work and education a teacher has really disgusts me.

If and when I have kids I will send them to public school even if I had the money to do otherwise I still would send them. You get so much more experience in public schools and you learn how to deal with people from all kinds of races religions and economic status.

Granted that most of time the curriculum is shyt and the teachers don't care but I feel it's easier to deal with those deficiencies then the other way around.
