Ghost just put out way to much stuff at one time. Around the time of Fishscale. Each album getting slightly worse. I was more hyped to hear Trife at one point. To this day id rather hear new Trife. By the time Big Doe Rehab came out it was like I heard all the Ghost I could handle. 
And there's some dope stuff on more fish. But by that time I felt like he was just putting out everything he could to cash in

Ghost fell off after BPW?
Pretty Toney is a 4 mic album, FishScale is a damn motherfukking CLASSIC, More Fish was an excellent follow-up and the rest has been solid ever since probably 3.5 mic or higher shyt except Ghostdini. Ghost doesn't release wack shyt.
Now skills-wise, Raekwon is in the elite level that Ghost is, but his body of work hasn't reflected that. He did fall off from about 2003 until Cuban Linx 2, but since then dude has arguably been rapping better than Ghost.
As @Billy Ocean, there's a reason only Ghost is mentioned in these discussions, and it's because from 1993 till NOW, he's still releasing dope shyt, and could have the year of his life depending on how DoomStarks and SC 2 pan out.
Skill-wise, many Wu rappers are GOAT contenders, but have failed body of work wise because they lack direction without RZA. Ghost face's versatility is off the chain, and nobody's fukking with his songwriting, voice change-ups, flow change-ups etc. He's just a master of all trades, but Rae can match him blow for blow lyrically.

What big lists is Ghostface in the top 10 of? Tried to have a look but could only find that Billboard bullshyt at the moment.
On here Ghost gets mentioned often as one of the best ever. Anybody familiar with the consistency of quality projects and raps he's had during his career, knows he's up there with the other super legendary MCs. Ghost is just a brilliant MC.

Rae was never as nice as Ghost
I know on here defintely, I was wondering what established lists he's on though? I don't really see him mentioned too much but may have missed some. I remember he wasn't on the MTV list, The Source's top 50 lyricists I don't think he was on, not on Kool Moe Dee's list. I was just trying to find some of the lists he was on.
Ghost is defintely a legend and a great MC no doubt.

ghost gets more personal than rae. for every CREAM verse rae drops, he lets out 10 "random street tale wit mad slang" songs. This is so,ething that also hurt method man imo when it comes to wu falling in line on whos the best.
rae can do those joints too, like ason unqiue; but a lot of his work comes off as random and the slang catches people off guard sometimes.
ghost is vivid and uses slang ina differnet way than rae,
rae has had wu omn his back since ghost passed it aftere fishscale.
Fishscale was a CLASSIC for the time imo wit all the UG beats but more fish was def leftovers.. big doe was just not as good. Ghost Deini is low key a great album which my ex loved that shyt, playe dit the fukk out...
the albums after that have been lackluster but their still good albums

imagine a madlib/raekwon album in the vein of cocaine pinata? "JESUS" - zandig

I think one thing that stands out for Raekwon is he probably has the best flows in the Clan. No joke this dude has thrown out every single type of flow out there it's remarkable, probably more than Ghost has, and Ghost is that dude famous for inventing new flows and lyrical styles.
And you're right about Raekwon carrying the torch, probably since 2009 but only in terms of rapping, because Ghost is still the dude releasing the great albums.
On 12RTD II, I thought Raekwon was rapping better than Ghost, but recently on Wu Goo videos and shyt like that Ghost seems to be getting some life back which makes me excited for his upcoming projects.
Raekwon is a "stay in my lane" kinda rapper for the most part but he's probably the best rapper in that department we've ever seen, whereas Ghost can do anything and everything to an extremely high level.
And they complement each other PERFECTLY, that's the best part.
