went down too easy, im not gonna say size. Tomlinson/Sanders/Charles/Westbrook and many others weighed less than him, just had better IQ and ran harder

he also played the 2nd half of his career with a piece of his brain knocked out

Because he is a bit undersized, remember the pros aren't chasing and hitting you in college.

Spending your college behind an elite O-Line doesn't help you develop any real field vision. He hit the holes when it was obvious but he couldn't make his own breaks, on top of that he was undersized.

Plays like that takes all the trust you have in a QB away. Its the reason why WRs dont like to go across the middle because they don't trust a QB to not put them in that vulnerable of a position. Your instinct is to catch the ball. You would hope your QB wouldnt lead you off a cliff but they do and thats where communication and trust issues come about and why WR have dynamic relationships with QBs.

Thats not the case with Bush. He was just unfortunate and injury prone. Never adjusted to the speed change unless he was in the open field. Wouldve been significantly more suited as a receiver.

Chris Johnson was actually faster than him I believe.
Johnson had close to bo numbers at the combine if I remember right.

Art Barr
CJ was faster. But the speed difference is minimal flat out. Game speed is more significant than 40 speed. They used their speed in diff ways and CJ was just way more effective with it. I was just saying that size wasnt his issue or any other guy's issue that bust out at 6'0 205lb. Its more about being injury prone and bad luck with most guys.

Combination of too much hype, too many injuries, too many expectations. Everyone looked at running backs differently at the time he was drafted so we didn't recognize that the bar was always set too high for him. Overall, he cut out a decent career for himself and it could've been alot worse :ehh:
