ill be a punter/kicker playing for 10 years at league min or a million a year compared to any other position where your percentage to get hurt spot takin or waive since u 30 and they looking to play the younger dude and ur career over after 4 years

If I coached in the NFL my kicker would be a undrafted safety,corner or just an athlete ! Id have dude kicking 7 days a week in training camp to get ready for the season.
I never understood why they dont take a safety, corner or maybe even a QB that didnt make the cut and train the shyt out of them starting at the highschool level or college even. Id much rather have another playmaker on the field to not only save a TD but make legit tackles and if you ever fake it Id rather have an athlete back there than a punter

If "nikka" isused in a black man's regular vernicular, the only way for it not to be demeaning, in my opinion, is if it is a definition of "person" not black man.
I do a lot of "soul searching" if you will about my own use of the word however, to be comfortable defining the word "nikka" as synonymous to "black man" is disturbing honestly.

There are only 32 kicking and 32 punting spots in the NFL.
These guys have a ridiculous lifespan (5+ years) and teams only seem to recycle former team's kickers...So in a given year, there MAY BE 10 or so rookie punter/kickers in the league.
Now think of all the talented soccer players there are in High Schools or whatever in the US and Canada. All going for the same 10 spots.
It would almost be retarded to have some kid try to specialize on being a kicker with the same low odds of making it as a LB or some shyt with limited upside

i wasn't saying kicker wasn't important. your reasoning was just
to me.you could apply the same logic to punter.
the reason teams only carry 1 is because these dudes rarely get hurt. that roster spot can be used for more important personnel.
plus, the position itself is plug and play. the saints picked up graham off the streets.. 3 weeks later, he's winning a playoff game.
no reason to keep a backup on the roster if you can just call a guy on friday to play on sunday.
but i wasn't diminishing the position.
