@IllmaticDelta true indeed in Belgium those genres have been big for ages (which I guess explains why there are so many festivals), as well as in France to a somewhat lesser extent.

Because EDM is a made up term by White Americans who don't understand anything bout non Indie music.

EDM for most part is just crass commercial Dance music(Trance, White folk House, White folk trap, that thing they call Dubstep) that Black people were never in the first place.

In America unless its Soulful House, you ain't gonna see too many Black folks period(djs and partygoers) outside of Detroit.

I've been saying that house and techno might be the most African of African American music.

it goes back thousands of years to the drum and the dance. and the tribal communion.

I take house music into consideration from a social and cultural point of view as well. and the rejection of disco nearing the end of the 70s is as American as Baseball and Apple Pie.
