It has a lot to do with the lack of support from artists and labels too, that's why I can't hate when Drake samples or remakes a song because its actually putting people on like Black Coffee because now Jay wants to work with him or even Alicia Keys bigging up his In Common remix is big the same way we have a million kids using fruity loops to make trap beats we should have kids making house music but there is no infrastructure for them or even the artists who sings on house music

IT's to the point I really don't even want to produce for rappers, not to sound anywhere remotely :mjpls: But the fukk am I doing working with someone that expects me to give them a beat for free while they pay a rap nikka $1000 for a verse?
:gucci:

The lack of respect makes me sick.

Far from a Drake fan, but I loved that he sampled Black Coffee and that Kyla tune. Instead of just hooking up with Calvin Harris or Daft Punk, or whoever Black artist run to when they want a "Dance" track.

My guess is the average black person either doesn't know about that music, or don't think it's cool.
