Dallas is not the first city people think about when they think of the US people think about NY, LA, Chicago, Miami hence why when teams in those markets win it’s a huge deal…. These are the super star cities after all, the faces of the league usually play for teams in these cities and the NBA knows that, I’m 100 percent sure if Luka or Jokic played in these markets they would be pushed to be the faces of the league, hell lebron had to leave Cleveland to truly become the Face of the NBA

Denver hadn't won the title yet and Dallas hasn't done shyt for an entire decade. Both of those teams are small for the NBA. The Lakers, Knicks, Boston, and GSW bring the ratings in the NBA. Those two don't.

Lebron and Kobe shared the "face of the league" title from 06-2010 while he was in Cleveland. Curry also held that title while playing for a small market team. The only reason Luka isn't on that level is because he's foreign.
