How could going to a HBCU possibly benefit me more than a PWI would?

I dont want anybody to think I wasn't considering going to Tuskegee too. I was, heavily.

But after a lot of reading and taking other things into consideration I chose Auburn.

I'm not sure how that means I have less pride or don't want to be around black people though
Sounding like #TheDecision and shyt. Only on the coli breh. As I said before, 14k is a lot extra, especially when you add in multiple years. That could make for high monthly payments in a loan scenario.

Auburn is 85% white
One of my friends been giving me shyt cause they're going to Tuskegee(87% black)

I understand the black professors and being around more black people, that's nice and all, but other than more black friends I truly don't see any other benefit in that after college. If they end up being just as broke as me tryna teach some kids in a school with terrible pay.

Mixed in with all the shyt I've heard about HBCUs and how bad they are ran and managed. I couldn't handle it, from sometimes there not being hot water, the staff having attitudes and the technology being a few years back. Nah nah

In a school with so many white people I'll get to know the black people though, it's inevitably gonna happen unless I was trying to not interact with them.

I'm not saying all HBCUs are bad, but just from what I heard about them I wouldn't go. Just seems like too much struggle just because I'll be around and get to know more black people. If you plan on starting a business or something and want to work with only or mainly black people I understand, but I wanna be a teacher and there ain't no damn way ima have any power like that my first years
.

And,
Auburn: $49,404
Tuskegee: $63,447
Auburn $14,043 cheaper.

And I mean, being around a bunch of middle class-upper middle class southern bred white girls can't hurt too bad, unless they on that "black boys are scary" shyt.

Especially the girls in Auburn :whew:
All that shyt just to say he want to get at some white girls :mjlol:

I wanted to go to an hbcu but couldnt afford it, took a scholly at a school a little bit higher than auburn. After graduation I applied for jobs and didnt get into the firms I thought I should of. :to:

Through linkedin I found at what blacks did get in. It was about 45% hbcu :damn: and 45% went to ivies/top 15 schools. The rest were "smart nikkas" like me fighting over that last 10% to fulfill their diversity quota. :mjlol:

There is no question if I would of went to an hbcu I would of got in, they have established networks with big businesses. To be frank its less competition and you have a higher likelihood of getting a really good job if you just keep your head down. If I could go back and do it again, I'd find some way to pay for it. The job you get earlier in life pretty much dictates your connections and future opportunities. Dont be a dumb nikka like me and take your a$$ to an hbcu reap those benefits.

Go to auburn bruh. But imma tell you this... If you don't like white people much or are self aware of how clueless white people are about race relations prepare to deal with some eye opening racism.

My freshman year my white roommate was so naive he said, "you guys racism doesn't exist anymore!!! That died with all the old white people that are in nursing homes!"

If I could afford it I would have went to a hbcu

For the OP it doesn't matter since all he wants to do is teach. There's a shortage, a black male shortage of teachers so he'll get on regardless. He'll have a real shot of administration if he hustles.

How am I shytting on my own though?

You're telling me 14k and closer to home wouldn't matter to you breh?

Idk about you, but I'm not gonna spend go in more debt with that 14k just so I can say I went to a HBCU and I have more back friends.

And I'm not moving farther from home just to say I went to Tuskegee

You sound like your mind has been made up. Go ahead and matriculate into Auburn so you can begin your long road in the lucrative career of c00ning. Good luck.

Go to community college for two years and be around your own people and save a ton of money, then transfer to the PWI for your last two years on an academic scholarship.

That way you get to do both, for less money than if you only did one.

Why people don't do this, and then complain about money/loans later, I will never know.

Are there any Black Engineering and Technology colleges? It seems most are geared towards liberal arts etc.
