How could "True Detective" have had such a massive falloff?

Was season 1 just so great that it was a mistake to try to follow up?

Was it the casting? I did think Vaughn was terrible, that last scene is so cheesy it's cringeworthy.

The writer got hit with plagiarism allegations at the height of season 1's popularity.

Most fans were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until season 2.

After season 2 it seems pretty obvious the allegations were accurate.

I haven't watched season 2 and have almost no desire to since Harrelson and McConaughey aren't invovled. The cast itself just looked so :scust: by comparison.

Colin Farell, Rachel McAdams, and "Friday Night Lights" guy are a decent cast, nucca. Your non-basketball opinions are trash :scust:

None of those names are fukking with Harrelson and McConaughey on the screen together :dame:

Colin and Rachel had decent chemistry and were compelling. If the show had focused on them and lost the soldier I think it could've been better.

But yeah, Matt and Woody had crazy chemistry :whew:

Season 2 was better because it had better characters, everything else in Season 1 was better tho.
