How did Evil Dead (remake) get great reviews?

Man this one by far one of the worst movies i have ever seen.

Granted, I didn't watch the original, so i had no idea what to expect. But the reviews said it was good, so i got suckered into it.

The dialogue is laughable. The actors ugly and dumb and couldn't act for shyt. There were unnecessary bullshyt like

There were only 5 people on a Thursday afternoon, and I heard some old lady yell "this is fukking stupid" and walk out.

Not scary, dumb, turned into a gore slasher, unexplained, the worst part is that there will be a sequel because of the reviews and box office.

I'm a fan of the original and I thought the remake was good. If you didn't like this then you might not like the original one.
Seeing Jessica Lucas ( ) was a bonus, too.

I never saw Evil Dead 1 or 2.

Army of Darkness was cool for what it was.

LOVED Cabin in The Woods*.

Characters just acted stupid/illogical for no reason

Despite all the gore/grossout was actually kind of boring.

The climax/final monster was WEAK!

The cameo at the very end was beyond pointless.

Wasn't terrible, just boring and a waste of 90 minutes.

*I think CiTW has ruined these simple birdbrained horror movies for me.

Basically, it got good reviews because it did justice to the original, stayed true to it, while also doing things differently enough that it felt like it's own movie, and not a beat for beat remake. Plus it was Gory as shyt

It's already a weird enough movie, if you have no context you should be like it's suppose to be ridiculously over the top and comical. You should really see the original.
