fangirling over Lala and Ochocinco :dahell:

Not fangirling, but just to say, I don't need to be at no restaurant that people way outside my tax bracket are regulars. Scammers are also part of their clientele. I ain't a celebrity or a Scammer, so I don't need to front like I got it, for some food to come out my ass the next morning pause.

Bumping this classic thread because I missed out on it originally. When my girl and I moved in, we said we would split rent 50/50 and we would take turns on groceries, we both cook, but I cook more. The relationship is basically 70/30 after that, because if we go out on dates etc, I pay for everything, and she'll chip in sometimes.

We sat down and looked at my finances and I said I can get you the ring by August, but I have credit card debt I'm trying to pay off as well and also save because a wedding and eventually us buying a house will be expensive and traveling and investing in our passion to leave corporate all cost money.

So we just paid rent, and she's telling me we need to start looking for summer plans and trips. I say yea we can look at it but I probably won't buy a ticket until my next check. Yesterday she blew up because she wants to go all the way to Harlem for church Sunday and then go to Ricardo's steakhouse after for brunch. Now bare in mind, the last time she was there she saw Lala Anthony and I heard about it again from Ochocinco talking about coming to Harlem to fight Camron and he will be there. My thing is, why do I have to pay $200+ for brunch and commute an hour when that can be used for our trip. In her mind, we need to do both, but I'm not rich.

There is a difference between the girl you build a life with and the one you build a life for.

Shorty sounds a little thirsty to be on the scene to be honest…

And if she’s that pressed to go to the brunch, she needs to break bread…:yeshrug:

I'm not going to cast aspersions on her habits from one incident :hubie:

All I'll point out is this: what you do in training is exactly how the team performs later on :francis:

One thing I’ve learned is that the underlying reason for most divorces are due to finances, and not necessarily due to a lack of it, but due to conflict of how to spend it.

Infidelity isn’t as common as people may think. I’ve seen too many brehs stressing because they’re trying to keep up with the Jones to appease their wife.

Most men are simple, women like things complex, at our expense. :francis:

That social media influenzzza lifestyle got women brainwashed.:wow:

Expensive trips overseas, fine dining in nice restaurants, brunches, designer clothes, shoes, handbags, expensive wig, BBL, drive foreign cars etc.

If you can't provide that lifestyle, she calls you borinnnnnnnnggggg

I've NEVER paid for hair or nails in my life. but I have definitely paid for more than my share of dinners and trips, so I agree on that one.
I flipped this on one of my homegirls and asked her, "would you pay for a man's haircuts every two weeks?" She flipped "oh hell no!" and I said well that's how this hair & nails sh*t sounds to a man.

"Cheaper to keep her" is untrue in many situations.

If you have a baby mama you don't want to be with, you come out much cheaper paying her out-of-pocket on a regular basis.

If you continue to live under the same roof, she has easier access to you and your money.

"Bae, you got $40?", "Can you order me a Lyft (during peak hours :birdman:), "Let's go to __________ restaurant", etc......almost on a daily basis.

All that stuff adds up.
