He ran as a tough on crime candidate and touted his vote for the bill in his 2006 re-election campaign. Bernie is just another career politician and people need to realize that.

This deserves some context since people seem to keep referencing it. It's not so cut and dried. There are clips of speeches and more quotes from them included, Bernie's been pretty consistent and in the case of that bill he voted for; his support for the bill came with criticism of the tough on crime aspects.

Bernie Sanders voted for the 1994 tough-on-crime law. But it's complicated.

A trend that I began to notice is that we are not really in control of who is elected for the POTUS at the end of the day.
I believe we have some control over the local elections but thats about it
With that said a narrative of
Left vs Right Red vs Blue Dems vs Reps
Competition is consistent in all aspects of American society laced in the fabric of our DNA like the stitching in our favorite players sports jersey .....

What the hell has Hillary Clinton done for the plight of indigenous people?

Legit question. I was watching the 08 election documentary on CNN Sunday and they were showing a bunch of angry Hillary supporting women who was mad she lost the primary so they decided to vote McCain since he selected Palin as his running mate. Hillary would have easily been President in 2008 if Obama wasn't around. Her popularity seemed to be surging at that time.

Fast forward to today and she's one of the most vilified and hated women on the planet. What happened? Was it her actions as Secretary of State? Was it a successful smear campaign the Republicans and conservative media had against her for years? Was it successful Russian propaganda?

I can't pinpoint it.

Republicans always hated her

Democrats started to hate her once she talked down to Obama. The cacing was real strong from them when Obama dared to challenge her divine right to be President in 2008. She pulled the same shyt on Bernie in 2016. The fact she wasn’t a real liberal but a corporatist. The Super Predators comment. She just acted like it was her RIGHT to be President. Like it was a foregone conclusion. Like we gave y’all a Black President, now y’all better accept me as your female President. Naw chick, you gotta campaign and win votes like everyone else. The fact that she was meeting with celebs in New York instead of going around the Rust Belt to meet voters tells you everything you need to know. If the Dems hadn’t fukked over Bernie, we wouldn’t have this disgusting piece of shyt in office. That’s how bad that hoe was. Anyone halfway competent could’ve embarrassed Trump and showed how unfit he was but she was that bad of a candidate. She was already picking floral patterns for the White House and just acting like people shouldve already known she was the right choice instead of brutally showing why Trump was a clown and why she was leaps and bounds better. Now we’re paying for it.

HOnestly, she prolly should've just never run for president.

Before she lost the general, it was all "She's the strongest candidate. She will win for sure. Such a strong candidate that will excite the base. Such a good choice in choosing Tim Kaine for VP. He's a strong progressive that will reviatlize the base!"

Part of being a politician is campaigning. If she was such a "strong candidate", how come she had the campaign skills of a fukking 2 year old?

Then when she lost, the narrative changed. Pundits were like, "She should've run a better campaign. America isn't ready for a female president. Bernie should have campaigned for her more. Maybe she didn't choose the best VP candidate. America is sexist against women."

Well, she didnt just become a woman in the last few years. If you knew that America is deeply sexist, why even nominate the bytch?

Hillary Clinton wanted to be president for her damn self. But she never put in the work to be president. She thought that the title was hers. And when you think something is truly yours, it's human nature to not try hard at all, because you believe it's inevitable.

Now that Hillary is lost, she doesnt campaign. She doesnt do speeches (except to sell books, or blame everybody for why she lost), she doesn't do Town Halls, she doesn't do debates, she doesn't do interviews, she didn't attend either women's march, she doesn't fight for any cause at all. Why? Because she never believed in all of it to fight for the people. It was all about her

Usually when people leave public office, they are seen in a better light. "Time heals all wounds." But she polls worse than Trump. She is literally the most disliked politician even years after the election. Post-election polls showed that she would STILL lose to Trump if another election was held.

Obama was able to get these "stupid people" to vote for her, why couldn't she? She just should not have run for president. But in her head, it was "her turn", so there was no talking her out of it

At the end of the day Hillary Clinton is who we all thought she was: an entitled elitist, on a quest of power. But since she didn't get it, she's now like "fukk u all, imma just fall back with my millions and you guys figure it out." We were just votes to her. She didn't care about the regular guy past that.
