BUT YOU'RE STILL GROWN. You can be ready or not ready, all the grown man rules apply at 18. You can go to grown man jail (even before 18), you can get a bank account with no restrictions, get property in your name with no restrictions, spend inheritance money at that age, generally graduate from the last part of mandatory education, buy a long gun, and a lot more...not sure what you don't get. In any of these situations nobody gives a damn how mentally mature you are. You're ability to make good decisions is between you and your parents but nobody outside of that cares. You're just arguing to argue.
