This is a lie. Only rappers nikkas outside of New York people gave a damned about in 96 was Biggie, Method Man, and Nas. When that east coast west coast beef popped off, radio stations in the south and west were only bumping west coast shyt, mid 90s southern rap music that sounded like west coast gangsta rap shyt ( mainly Outkast, and Scarface), Nas, Method, and Biggie. "If I ruled the world" song with Lauryn Hill was a big success in the south. Nas's It was Written buzz fizzled out when Makaveli 7 day theory dropped though.
Cuz the Fugees didn't have the biggest rap album that year :mjlol:

Back in the early to mid 90s, before trap music existed: If a southern rapper weren't on some Louisiana bounce music shyt like Juvenile and Dj Jubilee, they all were rapping like west coast gangsta rappers. Southern rappers were rapping over west coast G-Funk beats before Cash Money and No Limit blew up in the mid to late 90s, and speaking of No Limit, Master-P and Tru back in the early 90s is a prime example of what I'm talking about. Even Rap-A-Lot was rapping like west coast nikkas back in the early 90s.

:dahell:

UGK..Three Six...Ball & G..Cash Money and Outkast sounded nothing like west coast nikkas in the mid 90s..they carved out their own styles by then.

No Limit..you gotta point tho :patrice:

Fatal claimed in a Youtube video awhile back that he talked Pac into editing Jay-Z's name out of the Hitemup song, and Fatal claimed that Pac initially dissed Jay on Hitemup, but Fatal told Pac to take the "fukk Jay-z" part out of Hitemup because Jigga and Fatal were homies back in the mid 90s.

Close, but Fatal convinced Pac to remove Jay-Z's name from "Hit 'Em Up" because he wasn't involved in the beef. He then went on to say, Jay-Z started "talking slick" on the radio and whatnot and later reported that information back to 2Pac and that's when Pac started dissing him.

outkast came in the game riding the west wave. their whole style was bitten off of souls of mischief w/ alot of g-funk inspired beats.

ugk, 8ball & mgk had that west coast influence in them too.

no limit - yea of course. they were a west coast label period back then.

Cuz pac was the epitome of emotional

He's one of the reasons why u got a bunch of nikKas thinking lack of composure or self control equals manhood

Pac had is redeeming qualities but that man was homotional than a mufcka

Any body saying otherwise is a blind ass stan who grew up with no father
