Its like society shame people for not knowing and understanding shyt, but they also shame people for asking questions. I feel like this is a natural question to ask. I’ve had this exact same thought before. I bet nerd ass nikkas like Einstein had these type of thoughts. You gotta have these type of thoughts to come up with some smart ass shyt like that nerd ass nikka.

At the end of the day, someone created the concept. It's like "Daylights Saving Time". They're arguing about switching it, on a whim. At the end of the day, time is gonna be, whatever TF, humans want, or wanna perceive it to be.

This is also akin to a "40-hour work week". Why TF can't that shyt change?

I know why a year is a year and a day is a day, but it’s be interesting to know how we all agreed that days would be split into 24 hours as opposed to some other measure that a day was split into, like 12 hours and each hour is then the equivalent of what would consider 2 hours. The same for seconds in a minute and minutes in an hour.

I never questioned it and they don’t teach the origins of what we consider time (outside of what is a “day” and a “year”). Also, are there any flat earthers who have decided not to adhere to our understanding of time since it’s largely based on something they consider to be a lie?

So essentially it’s the result of a somewhat random base system used to track the earth’s revolutions which was then adopted to track time. And we could just as “easily” have been in a different system if it had been more widely adopted.
