Okay let me play devil advocate here.If Hispanic's who are mostly of Spanish , Native American and African ancestry are white, then I guess all you posters who claim Biracial's are not black, most have to admit they are black.

Europe conquered Spain the real Spaniards are gone. They are white. And Latinos have NO African ancestry, the black slaves who were taken to Spanish speaking colonies are African ancestry.

That's part of the reason why in some countries there is a reverse one-drop rule where a person with one black parent and one white parent is considered white. You are confused. Depending on which country they hail from, south Americans have a huge variety of admixture. For example, countries like Argentina have Hispanics who look white ( and are treated as such). Think soccer players Messi, Maradona, Suarez.

Now countries like Mexico have folks with huge native American ancestry, and definitely do not pass off as white.


I see you mentioned Spain. Spain is in Europe and whites consider them as their own ( albeit darker).

Make sure you do your research on which country these people come from and how much admixture the folks in that country actually have. You can't paint "Hispanics" under a broad brush because there is so much variability. Probably only second to us

Hispanics WERE considered 'White' for a while but it was in their best socio-economic interest to be considered a separate ethnic group in order to secure benefits in the United States. They did that to themselves. 'White' people just let them. Consider the fact that Mexicans were considered 'White' after the 1848 Treaty and accorded full citizenship over 100 years before Black people.
