It's an underrated work time frame IMO

I worked an 11-7 shift for 3 straight years doing warehousing for a computer manufacturer. I loved every minute of it :ehh:

At work benefits were better pay, lighter workload, laid back environment, talking to lonely female coworkers all night :shaq:

Time flew. I'd be on my way home before I knew it. There was no better feeling than having a sunroof open in the morning at driving home listening to some jams especially on payday :blessed:

If you have the energy you can really can take advantage of free time during daylight hours while others are at work. Go sign paperwork, pay bills, having a side hustle or go to school, make sure your bank acct straight, car maintenance, home maintenance, grocery/clothing shopping, single moms with kids at school in that grocery store:shaq:

At the extreme latest I would wind down comfy in bed around 4-5pm when everyone else is getting off work and trying to run the same errands and tasks that I did earlier in the day:win:

Wake up around 930. Sometime hit the snooze until 10:demonic: Shave, shower, eat. Out the door at 1030. Back to the money

Where I work there is no rest :sadbron:

I worked graveyard for years, was really laid back. Supervisors and important people came in at 6:30 so everyone would look busy for 30 mins lol.

3pm-11pm was my shyt, because I could shower at work and be on my savage shyt on friday, saturday nights.

I never liked working graveyard in the summer though, straight vampire status with the sun all bright... and then its cold as fukk and dark in the winter as well.

10:30 to 6:30 past 5 years

I think I've mastered the art of sleep

Literally can sleep any time of the day and I prefer nights because I don't have to deal with customers like that, my biggest tip is to blackout your room and use a white noise app

What u do?

Just left a job I was at for almost 2.5 years working overnight doing supply chain/inventory at a hospital. 10p-6:30a

It was easy cause it was really only like 3 hours worth of work every night. Rest of the shift is either sleep or fukk around on YouTube/watch movies and tv. Only bad thing is I had to rotate weekends.

Took a job at another hospital because of my family (married with a son) the schedule 6a-2:30p no weekends but that’s the only good thing about it though.

If I could I’d go back to my old job I’d do it in a heartbeat. Waking up at 4:45 every morning ain’t whoa. Plus I had way more free time working nights. I could catch up on shyt.

Bruhs in here talking about 8 hour shifts when OP said 12 hours. 12 hours is another level. That's a whole different ball game.

One hour at a time OP. Or one break at a time. I did 9pm to 9am for a few months. I was dead on my feet by about 6 or 7. I'm a night owl but not that damn much apparently. Went to work it's dark outside, leave work it's a whole new day, sun up, people walking around like nothing happened lol. shyt tweaked me. My brain, my body and my soul was just like nah

My advice try to get a day shift on them 12 hours. TRY. I'm doing 6am to 6pm now. The sun is coming up when I go to work and it's out when I leave work. I love it.

You night shift nikkas man. I dont know
