For starters, the greed of man would quicker accelerate the already depleting resources while it further poisons the earth for money, ownership and enterprise while holding on to the notion that it would either be able to survive and adapt on it's accrid surface with or without the sun or gain enough knowledge to leave it and go spread it's filthy mindset on other planets it would automatically assume it can colonize like it did with this given Earth.
Wars, violence and torture would be amplified as a means of control, since the idea of trapping an immortal soul in a tightly confined box for hundreds of years would definitely be honed and fine tuned by the already borderline sadistic powers that bring about such methods for their own amusement amongst other inherently evil benefits.
Also, I'm quite sure someone would take it upon themselves to literally go full Marvin the Martian and destroy Earth on some Ozymandias shyt every few centuries because having such a "gift" as immortality would not garner the general populous, by choice or control, into trying to better life for everyone involved on some utopia shyt. White folk gonna be reenacting Plymoth Rock until the sun explodes given these circumstances.
Me, I'd personally fukk off into Space and take my chances there, though. fukk around and get torn apart by a Blackhole, I dunno.
