Man stfu that “POC solidarity” BULLSHYT doesn’t exist and ESPECIALLY NOT in the Bay Area.

I lived in the Bay Area for YEARS. Don’t pull that performative ass 1970s picture out of your ass:mjlol:

Y’all let everyone else leech off your culture and build while they block you out of everything on a systemic level.

You probably aren’t even black, you might be one of those “POC” vultures yourself. Real name probably Phillip Hmong posting out of his parents basement in Hayward moonlighting as a black man online :camby:

No widespread gang culture leads to more upward mobility.

Being a hustler is more respected than being a crashout/killer in the Bay.

High number of educated black folk in the Bay.

What’s also crazy

The bottom cities on the right are always high on the crime list and cities with the highest poverty rates

Get educated nikkas

Locals support local hustlers in the Bay. Your music or clothing line could be garbage or close to it and the whole hood will support, then the whole Bay will support, then nikkas in Kansas City and Detroit will support. No shade to Mistah Fab or PayPal Boy but Dream Team and Dope Era are literally the same clothing line with the old school Nintendo fonts. Yet both of them have brick and mortar store fronts for their clothing lines in the Bay in high rent areas in the hood. The Bay been going viral on the rap tip since the 90’s back when it was hella harder to record and distribute your own music. And the Bay sound is timeless and always gets copied without citation.

RIP Shakir ...

shakir.jpg

Geoffrey's Inner Circle, Oakland Ca.

Def Jam executive vice president Shakir Stewart-- the man who succeeded Jay-Z at the top of the Def Jam Recordings ladder-- committed suicide at his Marietta, Georgia home on Saturday (November 1), according to reports from the Associated Press and VIBE.com.

VIBE.com cites the local Cobb County police, who report that Stewart shot himself in the head before being officially pronounced dead at Kennestone Hospital later on Saturday. Stewart was 34 years old.

During his Def Jam tenure, Stewart signed Young Jeezy and Rick Ross. Before coming to the label, he had worked with publishing company Hitco, where he signed Beyoncé, and Arista Records, where he signed Ciara, according to the AP.

Vibe.com reports that Def Jam issued a statement over the weekend on behalf of Stewart's fiancée, Michelle Rivers, and his family. It said, "Over the past several weeks, Shakir's behavior was inconsistent with the man we all know and love. As much as we all tried to help him, Shakir was in deep pain and largely suffering in silence. Please remember Shakir for who he was...a wonderful father, partner, son and friend."
