I worked 6pm-6am and 730pm-730am for like three or four months. It took a while to get used to, but then it was whatever. I worked nights here for a little bit with 0 training for a bit, I hated that shyt. We didn't get enough action for me to learn as I go, and a nikka got a little rattled :lupe:

I refuse to let my guys work past 4. People have families.

At about 4:30, I'll be back home learning programming, might even hit Applebee's with my chick, throw a load of laundry in, and watching some reality t.v.

Leaving on Fridays and going to day parties, the park, mall... :ahh:

Stay cations on the weekend at The W. :ahh::ahh:

While ya'll be at work with dry eyes and a sacked lunch.

Third shift was a monster for me as a younger niigga.... I worked as a security guard one time at the Viacom building by Times Square... We had these probes that we had to hit as we did patrol on a floor, that would show basically that we was doing our job... One time I sat down for a hot minute in an empty office, and fell straight asleep. I woke up and the sun was starting to come up. I estimate I had probably been asleep for like 2-3 hours. I was sure I was gonna get fired. But when I got back to base, nobody said anything... I didn't stay much longer after that tho; my body was totally thrown off, since I couldn't really sleep during the day. I did get some shows from the hotel across the street tho. I remember one time we saw this white dude getting down with 2 chicks in his hotel room, shades was wide open... Buncha top flight security niiggas watching son get serviced from this conference room on some

Jesus Christ.... Hope that shyt is just temporary breh. Back in the day, I worked two jobs like that for 3 months and it got to a point where I just felt like a fukin zombie. No way I could do
that shyt now. :camby:

I've been doing it for two years,I'm just waiting for the night job to give me my full time position. Once I get full time then it will all be worth it. 22 a hour with great healthelp insurance.

I'm a porter, and work 6pm to 1 am. Work 7 but get paid for 8. It's union with yearly raises, pension, 401k, 100% employee paid dental, health, and vision but I'd be lying if I said it didn't suck missing every sport during the week. I don't go out so that doesn't affect me much but otherwise I don't mind this even if the job is physical.

I can see how it would be a strain on a relationship but everyone that works with me is married so obviously some people don't mind.

Worst part is the travel. I go over an hour going and coming home almost two hours:sadbron:

I like my neighborhood. It's clean quiet and peaceful. Yeah it's far from midtown but I can manage. I'm not paying these high ass rents and when I do own, it'll probably be in the same area I'm in now.

When I get my car, my commute time will be cut a lot. These nyc buses :mjcry:
