What money?![]()

I made 40k that year working like 50+ hours a week. I worked so much at night that I would have dreams of working when I would finally go to sleep in the a.m
Used to piss me off.
One week the temp agency sent me some lazy thugs that screwed up a job so bad that I just decided to quit rather than spend hours after my shift was over banding 80 pallets, fixing the issue, and banding them again.
I tossed my vest and badge on the conveyor and sliding out the emergency exit.
That was a great night.
I spent an entire month unemployed. Damn near starved to death.![]()
Yeah because going out is way more important than stacking paper.
damn
That last part is real breh but i damn near starved in college, grandma send the care package or i would be begging people.

Working at night doesn't mean you're working "hard" or slaving. I worked 2nd shift at a help desk and didn't get very many calls during that time. Also it doesn't mean it's a permanent way of life. Almost all people I know the do 2nd or 3rd shift do it temporarily. If you have to grind and work an off shift, then you do it. Not being social is a stupid reason not to get paper.Oh, so money is worth your health and over all well being?
That's why you be seeing this old heads slathered up with Ben Gay, hunched all over, with bad problems.
Constantly bending over lifting 50+lbs 10 hours a day in a Warehouse or ditch for 20+ years.
Nah, that wasn't going to be my life.
I wanted more and better for myself.
Ya'll accept these slave jobs... eyes bloodshot, tired, and your love lives in shambles.

I was making $28 at the time plus shift differential which put it closer to $30 after 5pm. But again it was an IT help desk job so the type of job definitely matters.Making under $16 an hour isn't my idea of getting paper. Especially for working overnight.
