so this is the order pomade/water, brush, durag? if I go against the grain will I have to star over? like can i scratch my head freely?

stay away from grease until you already have waves, especially in the summertime u dont want that thick ass grease in your hair

grow your hair until about are able to get a 1.5-2 wtg no lower then that and go from there, carrot or olive creme are both good for beginners.

Y'all grown and still don't know how to train your hair
First you gotta have the right type of hair. For you Al B Sure slick nikkas and extra happy headed hoes it ain't gonna happen
Then you gotta brush. That's why high school/college cats got the tightest waves cause they got nothing to do but brush their hair. I remember in HS we used to stay brushing all in the middle of class . A trick an old head told me if you don't want to brush all day is brush your hair when you get out of the shower until it's dry.
Then you do need a durag. You don't have to wear it all day on some Memphis Bleek shyt either. I remember when I used to wear my durag to sleep
And you don't need grease, we off that. all you need is water. Hairspray at the most.

My method:
I get my hair damp and spray with some hair spray. Then I brush and put a durag on for about 5 minutes until my hair is dry. When I take the I'm wavy like Max. Every now and then I might use Lets Jam if I know I'm going to a club or something for that extra shine.

Wet your hair and wear a du-rag. In 2 weeks you should be spinnin. Works for me.
