Any nikka that trains knows you need a least a hour in The gym. shyt I take 10 minutes warming up my shoulders with a light band before I start benching.

When you do compound lifts you have to warm up. Ain’t no going in the gym for 10-20 minutes and then leaving.
No lie when i was on that #powda @The Butcher I used to do my lifts in 30 minutes. :hubie:

Jack3d was mofo. I would do multiple sets of squats, power cleans, deadlifts and pull-ups within 30 minutes. :whew:

I also felt like I was setting myself up for a heart attack, so I dont use that stuff now.

Can and it being thrown around like a common occurrence is not the same.

If we wanna be real about it, most people ain’t had one single body fat test so that “20” might not be what they think it is.
I think 20lbs of "muscle" is incorrect.

I started weight training when I was 17. I was about 135lbs, but I gained about 15lbs within 7 months. But it wasn't just because I was working out, it was because I was eating way more than I previously did.

Jack3d was not a normal #Powda, so I'll forgive your impertinence in calling it such. :stopitslime:
Jack3d was basically speed you could buy at GNC. Of course you could do more in the span of less time on that.:mjlol: Normal #Powdas aren't like that now, but if you don't wanna mess with them anymore that's your choice.:manny:

And that's fine but it's not quite the same thing that OP posited since we know he doesn't squat, or power clean, or deadlift, especially not in the span of 10 minutes.
:usure:

Well I used to go to lifted weights cause I’m naturally slim and always be trying to put on like 10-15 pounds. But them weights way too heavy and I’m not about to put in the work to work my way up to swole nikka lifting status so I be like fukk that shyt. I did in the past but I would always fall off.

Here OP admits that he both lacks dedication and is weak. Ole "them weights way too heavy" ass-nikka. :mjlol:

Tell us gym rats you don't know what you're talkin bout without saying you don't know what you're talking about. :comeon:

Nah, it's one thing to go in a do a single bodyfat in an hour (that's a very inefficient way to train, especially if you're natty, but that's for a different thread), but for anyone who is training for physique, powerlifting, Olympic lifting, or strongman, an hour is nothing.
:rudy:

IYKYK and if you don't it's cause you don't hit heavy enough barbell lifts or high enough volume. :yeshrug:

Correct but also 20 pounds of lean muscle is an incredible amount. Too often people are equating lean muscle mass gains to scale weight which be not reality.

Did you really use an “article” from a supplement site that uses this type of rationale?

For example, a study conducted by scientists at Göteborg University found that beginner lifters gain around 4 to 7 pounds of muscle in their first three months of lifting. If we assume they kept gaining muscle at about the same rate, that works out to 16 to 28 pounds of muscle in their first year (or an average of 22 pounds).

Come on guise

The study is linked in the article. I posted the article because it summarized the study and people don’t like to read on here and you ironically proved my point. The article is also scientifically reviewed by a doctor :mjlol:

You can gain 7 pounds in 3 months but not 20 in a year? :mjlol:

Again what’s possible versus what’s likely in the average person is not the same thing. So if your stance is purely that it’s possible sure. Real world application is that most people are not going to achieve that so using it as a baseline for anything is a false step.

Articles are great but even the best will tell you that real world application eventually has to take over.

Once again, instead of admitting you’re wrong you try to create your own narrative. First you said it’s not possible now you’re saying it’s not likely :mjlol:
