Any nikka that trains knows you need a least a hour in The gym. shyt I take 10 minutes warming up my shoulders with a light band before I start benching.

When you do compound lifts you have to warm up. Ain’t no going in the gym for 10-20 minutes and then leaving.

Depends. I've wrestled since junior high, obviously, I'm gonna be doing full body workouts/lifting at the time, so 1.5 hours is about right. But we're talking drills, stretches, warm ups, low weight, high reps.

For days where I needed to just focus on my lats or biceps; it only took 45 minutes. No warmup, no stretches, etc, divided upper and body of course. Some people need to warm up, I don't. I lift till failure, heavy weight, less reps. Then I'm done. Again however, I don't do full body workouts, so its in and out of the gym in very little time.

People who have been lifting for years and years need hours in the gym to make any gains. The longer you lift, the less your muscles respond to training. That’s why a beginner can gain 20lbs of muscle in a year but it’s impossible for someone who’s been training 10+ years to gain that much muscle mass naturally in the same timeframe.

False. I've been lifting since I was 15, I gain muscle and have kept it on, quite easily, just with heavy lifting. There are no diminishing returns if you're working out correctly. Lift heavy till it feels light and the reps are easy to do, then move up on weight. Ronnie Coleman goes in on this in several interviews. If you've been lifting long enough, you know you can stop for a week, come back, and still maintain the same muscle gains without any problems. Also, no gym noob is gonna gain 20lbs of muscle in a year....unless he's genetically gifted, and more importantly, on a ton of gear. Have you seen what 20lbs of muscle looks like? You're a dragon ball character at that point.

I know someone who competed in the Olympia multiple times and he’s spends hours in the gym :russ:…It’s just levels to it. I remember I used to go twice a day (PT and weights). Now I barely go twice a week. In fact I haven’t been this year yet and just ride my peleton like an old lady.

20 pounds of muscle by a new lifter in a year

Come on guise

Yeah there's no way that's ever happened. I feel like a lot of people who workout are either doing it wrong or have never seen what putting on muscle weight looks like. 20lbs would have my man looking like Goku. Not even bodybuilders reach 20lb in a year.

False. A person who is new to weight training can easily gain 20lbs of muscle in a year and you’re not making the same amount of gains in year 10 of weight lifting that you made in year one. This is a scientific fact. The keyword is in the same amount of time. A person that’s been lifting for years needs more than an hour in the gym to get the volume compared to a person that’s new they only need an hour.

It’s scientifically proven that you can gain 1-2 pounds of muscle per month particularly as a beginner.
Can and it being thrown around like a common occurrence is not the same.

If we wanna be real about it, most people ain’t had one single body fat test so that “20” might not be what they think it is.

I never said it was. I made the point that it’s much easier for a beginner to gain 20lbs of muscle than an experienced weight lifter.

It’s all about body goals. Some dudes wanna gun for Prime Arnold. In that case, those basic little 45min workouts where you hoop and do a couple presses won’t cut it. They may work for your body goals, but your goals aren’t the next mans body goals. Especially if he’s trying to be on swole. Not athletic, but SWOLE. He gonna need 2hr workouts 6 days a week.
