So in your case, you're not from the states and have only met 7 Latinos, how do you find qualified to speak on them? You know some have dark skin. What do you tell them? It's ok for them but not their light skinned cousin? We all know when somebody is being racist and when they aren't. It's crazy growing up I never thought twice about Hispanics saying the word, because as a few people said, esp in NY blacks and Hispanics share a culture (yes there are some who consider themselves better). "Our style". nikka Puerto Ricans was integral in hip hop since day 0. In the Bronx(the birthplace of the culture) Ricans was right next to blacks, spraying subway cars and spinning on cardboard before the music even devoloped into its own genre. These kids were DJs, MCs, B boys etc. we as blacks didn't invent hip hop by our selfs and just put them on. Naw they was involved since before the name hip hop was coined.

It's one thing for you to feel like you want to own the word "nikka" and you don't feel they should say it, fine. But please know what your talking about when you talking about this hip hop shyt.
