the thread is about "having a work bf/gf" which is basically someone at work who you are in a pretend relationship with and don't fukk/kiss. In other words, if you're a dude, it's someone at work you simp for fun. You bring coffee to, listen to her bytch, defend her, eat lunch with, etc but again, no hooking up. Saw this once and the girl actually introduced dude to her real husband as the work husband. Like i said, corny white people type behavior.

I don't talk to most Women at work like that. My workplace is 90% male right now in my group and prefer to keep it that way.

Got a Woman at home and don't need no drama where I make my bread.

Be kind to your co workers, but you're there to work... Not make friendships. In past jobs, I was always the person people chose to talk to, but I hardly spoke to anyone on a personal level. Call me keeper of secrets.

As for the work spouse phenomenon, uh uh, not a good idea. When I worked in the ER, I observed many "work bf/gf" relationships turn into "Lithe, I need to tell you something! I cheated on my spouse and now I'm marrying the person with whom I had the affair! Aren't you happy?"

Worked in a couple call centers which were at least 70% black where this went on. Has nothing to do with white behavior.

The work wife/gf is cool, keeps things interesting throughout the day. That being said, I would trade the work wife for the work mother/ grandmother any day of the week. I done literally ate so good off of ours when it comes to holidays and birthdays.

When you walk in the office and smell a feast because it's a random holiday like bosses day.
