This. You should be scanned before ever entering the school. The last concert I went to had scanners about waist high.. Everyone was walking through them with no problems and you didn’t have to line up and through one by one.

Stop the sell and manufacturing of assault rifles at civilian level full stop.
Any seized weapons are destroyed from now on.
That helps lower the chances of it being used in a mass shooting.
As for regular hand guns.
Bullets can only be sold at police stations/ adjacent buildings. Use the money to pay officers bonuses and salaries.
Leave hunting rifles as is.

Kids steal from teachers desks all the time. What's stopping little Connor from stealing Mrs. Flints gun and shooting his classmates because his mom didn't let him buy the resident evil remake? What's stopping Mrs. Flint from being nervous about a student getting up in her face and acting like he's gonna strike and she preemptively shoots him out of fear? If this country excuses trigger happy police why would we expect different for trigger happy teachers?
