How do we stop school shootings without crossing the imaginary line that the pro 2nd amendment crowd has drawn?

It’s worthy collateral damage to them. They fear a Turner diaries scenario which predates that scenario anyways. It’s for their militias because they fear black people

@Piff Perkins Why should a company be liable for criminal end user misuse of their products? Should Henckels be liable for a husband stabbing his wife with a knife?

Lets take it a step further, should those who train people in combat arts be liable if someone uses that training for crime?

This is low-key one of the best ideas I've heard on this. Insurance companies won't take this lightly and will want to only insure responsible people. We don't have to pass laws requiring background checks because the insurance folks will be the one to mandate that in their own process for liability purposes. All other insurance companies will follow suite as well because no one going to want to payout. If you have a fukked up background and can't get insurance then your out of luck and you can't buy a weapon without showing proof of insurance to the gun store.

Also that loophole of buying guns at fleemarket goes out the window because they should require you to get insurance before you buy the gun you want not afterwards. This creates a national registry and someone wouldn't want to sell someone a gun without knowing there is a record that the new owner took ownership of it to prevent issues.

Another benefit to this idea is that it would limit the number of weapons a person owns because of the premiums. How many people can afford to insure 7 firearms like this shooter did.

On a side note, this will also open up alot more jobs in the insurance field.

Overall great idea if they can get the details right but unfortunately this will probably never happen...
That’s a good idea.

Gotta love the right wingers sayin metal detectors will solve this. The people doin the
shootings aren't lining up at the entrance with everyone else at the start of the school
day, they are steamrolling their way in when students/staff are in class. It's the easy access to guns, that's it. :snoop:

Bruh let's end this talking point right now. These mass shootings are not being done with illegal guns. These are being with legal owned guns. Having better regulation is not about punishing legal gun owners it's about protecting society and having more accountability. The good of society should trump all. Period.

You should be able to own as many firearms as you want legally.

If found in possession of an illegal firearm you should do life in prison.

If you commit a crime with a firearm you get life.

Firearms should be allowed in your home, hunting grounds and ranges that’s it, unless you are law enforcement.

Mass shooters should get the death penalty. If parents unsecured firearms were used parents go to jail also.

Firearms should only be used to hunt and protect your home. If used to intimidate or in a criminal matter you get life.

Hour-long group counselling sessions with students of mixed grade groups and backgrounds twice a week, switch groups every two months.
Everybody on campus know each other, make them more empathetic. Got countless psychology students washing out witta bachelors, let 'em eat.

Anti 2AD people: Where is your family originally from and how long have you/they been in the US?
Why are you in the US?
Why do you think the US should change for you?

Because people would have more discipline instead of being emotional
If Columbine and Sandy hook didn't do it, nothing will. America needs a reset button but the only way that is happening is if America takes the role of Germany in WWII and has to have the whole world beat the fukk out of us and straigthen us out or if a civil war happens and we go back to the drawing board with a brand new constitution written by a cross-section of psychologists, doctors, historians, and scientists.

America right now is the equivalent of an extremely drunk meth-head losing his shyt and babbling around with a knife in one hand and a gun in the other. He's slashing himself with the knife screaming "I'm calm! I'm fine! don't fukk with me!" while shooting his pistol randomly. We're a sick country that needs to be detoxed and rehabilitated. The question is whether we'll do it ourselves or whether we'll be forced to dry out and go to rehab.

Like You said, it will take all the Allied Nations to disarm America and break it up like East Germany and West Germany from 1944 to 1989.

What rights have been taken away? We’ve been having this debate back and forth for years. At some point, some clear cut examples are going to need to be brought to the table.

I’ll wait.
