Don't see the appeal in this dude makeup or no makeup. Don't see why this random push couldn't go to Cesaro or something, they both are equal on the mic and the crowd is way more into him than most on the raw roster

Having just watched it on YouTube (I missed RAW minus the main event) it looked poorly shot and produced, like a poor man's version of the NXT version (thanks Kevin Dunn). Doing it in Brooklyn where he was over big last year would've been special, but they blew it on a dead crowd so they could chant this is awesome for 30 seconds. I'd get if it was like Chicago or Philly or really any big wrestling/smark city, but Corpus Christi? But Cokeboy gon Cokeboy so
forced...like everything they do...
That was seriously underwhelming. Finn Balor is generic as all fukk to be honest. He doesn't do anything that any other cruiserweight flippity floppity wrestler does in the ring. There are 32 Finn Balor's in that Cruiserwight Classic tournament right now.
He has zero charisma or skills on the mic and then after all the "Demon King" hype all we got was the same Balor just in The Boogie Man cosplay.

Even if you ignore that Finn is a charisma black hole, there's the problem @3Rivers also mentioned in the Raw thread, which is that nothing changes when he turns into the demon. His entrance changes slightly and he wears make-up, then he goes and wrestles the exact same match he always wrestles. The latter is actually made worse by the fact he doesn't stand out in the ring at all. It's another undercooked gimmick out of the NXT stable on par with Nia Jax' monster heel persona that needs some serious fine tuning.
Add gross mistiming (should've done it at Summerslam if not later) and a poor angle (Rollins shouting for the "demon king" eight hundred times over the course of two hours) and it's some shyt that should crash and burn, but unfortunately smarks rather cheer a bland indie darling with no charisma than people who can actually carry themselves in the ring and on the mic.

I hate to be that "being on the main roster exposed him" but it kinda has, although we already knew his mic skills were bad, that Demon entrance didn't have that same feel that it did with the NXT crowd, that said, there's still time for him to get over, he should have a big pop in Brooklyn.
But like others have been saying, he needs to take an aggressive approach when hes in the demon attire.

I didn't say that I didn't understand why they're pushing him. I just said KO/Sami deserve the top spot over him because they've gone out every night and put on the best matches.
I prefer good wrestling and good characters over Abercrombie models. But that's just me
