  • Creating a to-do list (preferably in a day planner) every day.
  • Meditation in the morning.
  • Separating your to-dos into focused vs. mindless work. Focused - going through your finances, mindless - vaccuming the house.
  • Get the focused tasks done during the morning because your focus wanes as the day goes on.
  • Seperating to-dos into chunks and baby-stepping yourself through tasks.
  • Taking a break after each task. i take 3-4 walks in a work day
  • Gaining momentum with every task completed.
  • Coffee / green tea.
  • Listening to white noise / binaural beats in the background as you focus.
  • Blocking all social media and time wasting sites with apps like AppBlock.
  • Rewarding yourself at the end of a productive day
  • Focus supplements (including adhd medication or nootropics, which you can order online)
  • Get your work done during the day, dont try to work at night.
  • And most importantly STOP JERKING OFF (limit it to 1x - 2x a week max). You need testosterone to focus.
  • Lift weights and do cardio to help with this.
If youre working on a boring / mindless task, it doesnt hurt to have a podcast / youtube going in the background. Again I save the mindless / easy shyt for later in the afternoon, your brain does its highest quality work in the morning.

I struggled heavily with this

Exercise helps me focus better - I my body has to move around and release some of that energy before I can sit down and study for long periods of time, otherwise I just end up trailing off

Asorb information in small doses; 30 - 40 minutes. if you need to go as low as 15 - 20 minutes

Making notes, flash cards, or any type of documentation , then quizzing yourself - rote memorization is one reason it works, but the other reason why it works is because most people tend to maintain information better when there's some action associated with it. Basically, the act of simply writing down what you're learning can help info stick.

Another thing I do that works is limit my sugar intake, because it fukks with my mood, focus, and hunger signals not too long after ingesting it. I became irritable, foggy brained, and ravenously hungry for bullshyt I dont need. Sugar (Fructose) kills my productivity

-Focus in ONE thing at a time and spend 30mins on it, break….
-Tell myself that procrastination is a lack of compassion for my future self and I need to be more compassionate to myself by finishing a task.

You are doing things for yourself. So do yourself a favor and get your shyt done.

Disconnecting the internet (or severely limiting myself to just the sites I need) and turning off my phones is the only way I'm able to truly focus. I can't really do this all the time since for obvious reasons I can't be unavailable the entire day, but for 3-4 hours at a time, it's golden. It's like my mind reprograms itself when I take breaks like that. You see how addictive (and meaningless) these apps really are.

Adderall :manny:

No lie that's the best solution I've tried. Outside of that the best I can tell you is to put yourself in an environment free from distractions and try the pomodoro technique
