My uncle stayed with his my grandma til he was like 26. Had his wife and first son there at the time too, ain't nothing to be ashamed of. He ended up being a millionaire and even while he was there he was doing damn decent for himself, just stacking his chips for a wedding and a home.

Everyone can't do this nor have the support system in their family for this lifestyle. It's not about shame but getting along together under the same roof. I left home at 24, in hindsight with the knowledge I have now I would have been out of the motherfukker at 17. I had no one to put me on game on how to make enough money to move out on my own. Apts are expensive and did'nt really know where to start. Plus with all bs you deal with living under someones thumb it's hard to concentrate on what you need to accomplish.

Dallas, Texas but living in Houston, Texas
I lived with my mom up until I was 28 when I moved out for good. I first moved out at 20 and had my own place. Worked different jobs until I went into the Marines. After I got out I moved back in again while I went to school. I worked a job full time and went to school full time. Always paid bills. If you're going to school and helping out with bills I don't see it as a big deal until you get to your mid 20s.

living with your mom is so much different than living with your dad or dad + mom

Mom's put me out when I was 18 for fuccing up in school among other things. She was nice about it though, she found me a place to stay (with my cousin) and took me to my first real grown man job interview and I got that job. By the time I was 19 I had an even better job, a crib, and two cars. Moms taught me how to be responsible foreal. Glad she put me out when she did and because it was all out of love it worked out.:myman:

That's true, I'm just saying this standard idea of booting your kids out the house at 18 on some sink or swim shyt should be saved for special circumstances where people just can't get along or like you said no real support system. But in the future, if we talking about economics and building, family is where it should start. My uncle was already doing well enough, he had a different upbringing from my moms and his brothers and sisters even though they grew up in the same house (different fathers). But that cushion, without the shame and the petty bullshyt that people get into from time to time allowed him a solid foundation. Ain't shyt cool about flailing about out there in the world struggling if it's not absolutely necessary.

You still had a support system, that's what it's all about.

My father absolutely disrespects me.

He talks to me like a child. He'll explain a reason he does something and the reasoning is something you say to a child when you know you wrong, but, you're smarter.

Plus, the testosterone. I gotta hide mine. I feel like a u-nick (sp).

I already had a job interview. I was only supposed to be here temporarily.

Like somebody said, that's some man vs man, subconscious, territorial shyt.

I couldn't see me being like that with one of my sons but you never know..

Time to make some moves, hopefully if he see's you trying he'll ease up on the territorial shyt and still provide you appropriate support. Hope shyt pans out for you breh.

Saving bread is important but as an adult parents r annoying as shyt man....esp once u get experience and u become smarter than them...u just laugh at their advice...

But as a man its important not to live under another man if u can help it...my cousin wanted me to stay with her and her husband and I was like fukk that shyt, dude is cool but eventually he would want me out

I'm gonna be 27 this year and I'm still technically in my Mom's house but I got a whole floor to myself. I got a room, bathroom and kitchen so I have privacy and comfort. I want to move out though in a couple of years or so. I'm saving up and shyt.

Negativity (Kayfabe)
fyi it's eunuch big homie.
:russ: Thanks
i bet you take the bass out of your voice when you speak.

i moved out when i was 17.
my pops told my i wasn't ready to live on my own and that i would be back in a week.
i took that as a personal challenge.
no matter how hard things got i refused to go back.

one day he stopped by my job and offered my $100.
i told him i was ok and didn't need it.
the look on his face was priceless.

i love my pops but i had to let him know that i was gonna do for myself.
i could really have used that $100 but i felt much better not taking it.
:mjcry: You're my inspiration.

My dad is very family oriented, but, he's a control freak.

Three days of this and it's like he's making sure I'm softened up.

Just gotta stuck it up and stack ur paper and work hard breh...but its his house, just bow down....it'll make your freedom sweeter

:to: Right, breh
