This was some years ago and yes I had 100% of the post 911 GI bill. I wasn't massively struggling but I had to paid rent and other bills with my GI bill money. With that money I could of stayed at home and give my mom some of it to help out, and stacked the rest. I have a B.A. and a decent job so most people I know would say I'm doing good. I feel like i'm just doing decent and i could of been further ahead with smarter decision making when I was younger. I think about it more now because I started a business and I would of had more capital to put into it if I would of stayed home longer. So don't be depressed, I left home early and I am fine, but I could be doing even better if I was just able to suck it up for a few more years.

Hmm nice. My brother's an ensign in the Navy in the nuke program. He tells me he hates it so I'll make sure I do well in college. I start next fall.

Man god bless those that can live at home like that..maybe I have way too much pride, but I was always motivated to become my own man since I was little.

This is not about pride or trying to prove that you can be self-sufficient. Adults staying with their parents have become more common since the recession. The cost of living has spiked. Cities in up north have rent averaging around 2k a month. The state of the expensive cost of living has made it difficult for some people to get their own place. Then, some adults can't strive financially on their own because they are dealing with dire situation that prevents them from moving out of their parents home or makes them move back in. I used to know a co-worker who moved back to his parent home because child support raping his pocket. Some of my friends moved back home because they lost their jobs. These are struggles that many people deal with all the time.

to be honest, I technically didn't move out for good until a month past my 23rd b-day.

I have a theory that too many adults CANNOT co-exist in one house. which is why when you grown, its very hard to be in the crib with your parents.

I feel like you need some meek,docile ass parents to live in a house with them after you graduate high school.
