How do you all feel about Ben Carson?

I saw he was trending on Facebook, so I took a look at the threads.

The first thing that popped up was something posted by DL Hugley...the article was a Fox News interview where the broadcaster asked why a Surgeon would be qualified for President.
Well, all of the comments were about two things:

1. They all called him a c00n
2. They all said this was his nikka wake up call because those folks will never vote for him.

So I took a look at the conservative threads (even a Fox news thread)...and about 85% of the people said they would vote for him, and they hope he runs.
First, I find the disconnect between what Conservatives think, and what black people think they think is hilarious/sad.

What I want to know is, why do folks call him a c00n? is it simply because he's a conservative? Or has he done something way off?
The little I read from him makes sense...So im just wondering if the hate from black folks is your typical Coli style hate for anything not super liberal.

Why not research Carson's political offerings and opinions rather than asking dumb, leading questions?

Carson is an ignorant buffoon when it comes to socio-political analysis, and is simply led around by the nose by Sean Hannity types. Carson has likened the ACA to Nazi germany, and called it "the worst thing since slavery". Hes said other wacky things like basing tax recommendations on the "logic" of Jesus tithes, liberals are more "racist" than other groups of people, and recently he jumped on the unproven "fractured orbital bone" train in maligning Micheal Brown who was killed in Ferguson. Im forgetting a lot of stupid shyt hes said too.

Carson was fairly popular around here last year, which is documented by past threads, but after repeated confirmations of his lunacy and offensiveness even those who lean conservative gave up on him.

Hes got about as much of a chance of running and becoming president as JFK Jr currently does, which is probably white conservatives pretend like they'd vote for him.

...Politicians use statements like that to catch eyes and headlines. I just looked it up, and he explained that he said that because he felt ACA kept people connected to the Government.
Also...whats wrong w/ him saying liberals are more racist? I bet his reasoning is that they tend to talk down to blacks...meaning, they come to us acting like we cant govern/take care of ourselves. They always tend to only talk about issues of the poor.

I saw him on Fox and the host confronted him about his statement that there might not be an election in 2016 because of anarchy/Obama takeover. shyt is insane, PERIOD.

I dont know many successful black folks that dont have some sort of conservative leanings...

I think he's a conservative, and I wouldn't be surprised if he has money problems. He has made a lot of money but he seems like the type to fall for financial scams and stock tricks, now he's trying to remake the money with speeches and a faux campaign.

You started off using provocative, insulting language and so I redirected some of that that back to you. No need to play victim.

The point is that Carson is judged by the content of his character and ideas, and not this conservative victim canard that black people hate black conservatives just because.

In theory, sure, but its been shown that economic views are far more subjective than supply macroeconomics types want to admit, and one's views on "government" are shaped by race. New Deal interventionist policies were very popular before republicans exploited racial resentment, as they succeeded in making the populace see govt. thru a "taking from whites and giving to blacks" lens, which has inspired millions to argue against their own economic self interest.

And republicanism in its current form is completely incompatible with black people, and social consciousness. If you can turn your brain and heart off sure, but republicans have southern strategized themselves into a box, and now since they have turned everyone off except southern white males they have to keep up the racial antagonism because losing their base would prove politically disastrous. Republicans have so damaged their brand with people of color that it will probably take decades to repair, and its just not worth the risk to them.

Bammer weed has a set of essays that he cuts and pastes, he doesn't actually read anything you write all he knows is that you were suggesting something positive or neutral about a conservative and he copied and pasted his standard essay attacking conservatism

this can all be changed.
Both parties fukked up...Repubs fukked up a bit more by doubling down on a losing hand (evangelical Christians).
Dems have their looney crowd as well...Feminist, some Atheist, etc.... basically the whiny people of the country.

Most people fall down the middle w/ slightly conservative financial leanings.
If repubs went back to the nuts and bolts of the party they will have no problem gaining traction.
Everyone starts off Democrat (especially when they are young)...but as people move up the ladder they get more conservative.
Youre going to see this w/ a lot of immigrants & young white & black people (what some of you like to call new blacks).

Not all Republicans are Fox news republicans...most have some damn sense.
