Not every post is about YOU. I won't get into a back and forth.
But now that you bring it up, your posts while well meaning indicated a naivete and lack of awareness of the DEPTH of discrimination in the Canadian market specifically Toronto.
They don't need to be calling you a ****** sir, they can do it subtly through their hiring practices THROUGHOUT the economy across a multitude of different sectors and industries.
You took the racial makeup of your particular department and ran with that as if it was common place. It's not.
Go to every single canadian or american big company operating out of the GTA and look at their "About Us" section where the leadership bios are listed and tell me how immigrants stack up in that regard.
Who gives a shyt about entry level to mid level management positions? We're talking upper management/board of directors. There is a professional ceiling whether you choose to acknowledge it or not.
But don't take it from me, put in another decade in the market and you will grow wiser for it. TRUST me you GON LEARN.
All is not lost, I refuse to be defined by these statistics and numbers, however I NEVER lost sight of SYSTEMIC discrimination that my people and others that look like them suffer.
We have to work twice as hard and be twice as qualified for every opportunity we are up for. It's not equal footing, it NEVER was.
