Giddey making off the dribble 3s changes everything. If he has that to his game, then @Gil Scott-Heroin's Luka Lite Comp is valid.
I say if, because he did not have that in his bag at all when you made that statement... which completely broke the comp because so much of Luka's game is predicated on his stepback 3 on either side of the court and his ability to make 3s from anywhere off the bounce.
Giddey's 3 improved last year, but he was still only making them off the catch. Just watching this Knicks game... breh making pull up 3s and fukk 3s off the dribble now

Like I said before - Giddey has mentioned he's modeled his game after Luka, so the comp has always been valid. They're both big skilled playmakers who rely on angles and deceleration, except Luka does it on a much grander scale. No player is exact 1:1 of another, so when a comparison is made, it's about how they play in a general manner.Giddey making off the dribble 3s changes everything.
