how do you deal with your kids not getting it?

I could show my son the word cat and have him write it a thousand times and have him spell it out loud a thousand more times and he will not remember it. I could write the word on a blank paper and he won't know what it says. It makes me go bonkers. I try to not get frustrated in front of him but I feel like going bonkers. I guess it's because he's 5 1/2 and his sister was reading books by this time. I try not comparing them especially since I knew since he was like 3 that he has no interest in learning. He gets frustrated and sad whenever he doesn't get shyt right away. Then he doesn't want to do shyt while his sister is 2 grades ahead of schedule and always reading and researching shyt on her own.

Patience breh, kids feel that frustration that parents feel. They feel just as frustrated especially when they see other kids excelling.

It just takes time, you just gotta try different things til you find something that works with him. I know its mad hard breh, but if he's having issues you may have to take him get someone to help him learn and it happens breh.

Kids have learning disabilities all the time. Im dyslexic as fukk and my parents refused to believe it and did nothing to help me and im still having issues with it.

if he's 5 1/2 you might want to get some advice on that breh. may have learning difficulties.

If I really thought he was dumb or had a disability I would say so
Since he was a baby I tried teaching him shyt but he has never showed interest in that
He's like the typical boy
He loves playing sports and riding bike
He does taekwondo
He can ride a dirt bike
If you give him Minecraft he could build you all types of worlds
