I could show my son the word cat and have him write it a thousand times and have him spell it out loud a thousand more times and he will not remember it. I could write the word on a blank paper and he won't know what it says. It makes me go bonkers. I try to not get frustrated in front of him but I feel like going bonkers. I guess it's because he's 5 1/2 and his sister was reading books by this time. I try not comparing them especially since I knew since he was like 3 that he has no interest in learning. He gets frustrated and sad whenever he doesn't get shyt right away. Then he doesn't want to do shyt while his sister is 2 grades ahead of schedule and always reading and researching shyt on her own.

Don't put him in a special ed class, they don't learn shyt in there. Be patient.

He probably has a different learning style and what you're doing with him isn't really appealing to him.

He could also have a learning disability, does he have an IEP?

I have no idea what that is

Yeah try not to get to frustrated. Also did he and your daughter have the same type of early exposure to education? Any family problems with you and his mom that could be causing him to act out or not want to learn? Also are you the only one trying to teach him things outside of school?

Yeah. He had the same exposure if not more because she's always reading and doing school work. Me and the moms is cool. He's not acting up. He does other shyt just fine. When it comes to school work, he just wants no part of it. The moms teaches him also

Don't put him in a special ed class, they don't learn shyt in there. Be patient.

I would never do that shyt. It's worse than not learning. They learn to not learn. If that makes sense. They program you into thinking that you're not capable of doing shyt for yourself
